august trip

Hey! What a small world! I live in Williamstown too!:rotfl2: When will you be there? We're going Aug. 26-Sept 3 POR.
Yes it can be a very small world at times. I see you also went in Sept 2006, so did we but only 6 of us that time!! Mom3girls

Representing the West Coast here - sorry, not another Jersey Girl!!
We will be at the Beach Club from Aug. 22-31!
We are prepared for the heat, but NOT the humidity! :scared1: But we'll be there long enough to do slower days (is any time long enough??)
ADR's are in place!

Do you have school-aged children? Just wondered if our kids knew each other. Where did you stay Sept 2006? We stayed at the Poly and LOVED it! It spoils you and I only wanted to go back but the kids actually all asked to go to POR!!! Hey, saves me about $1000. Can't wait to be back at POR!!!:cool1:

No, I no longer have any school age children, just one in (graduated in 2006)college(Stockton) and she will not be going to the world,,,,she says she will never go again,,,not until she has children of her own!! Where, oh where did I go wrong?? Our whole family is going, but she will probably be home throwing the party of the summer!!
When we went on 2006 we also stayed at the PoP!!

Checking in from Seattle the last week of August at POP. I hope we don't melt! LOL :rotfl2:

1st trip for us!! We are coming Aug. 28-Sept. 4th and staying at CSR. Hoping we didn't make a mistake by picking this week as it will be HOT but hoping the crowds won't be really bad!! We are newbies so any info would be greatly appreciated. :)

We will also be at CSR from 8/24 to 9/2 :wave2: . We went the same week last year and it is really hot but the crowds aren't that bad except at the restaraunts.

Our dates are August 25-Setember 3. Does anyone know what the Labor Day weekend is like? Was hoping that the locales celebrate at home. ;)

17 of us will be flying in from Eastern Canada from August 15-30th!!!

Here's to low crowds!:woohoo:

We are going. I am super freaking out about hurricanes, no joke. Every time I see a hurricane or tropical storm, I think this is going to be a BAD season, and not to get my hopes up to actually go to Disney next month. :sad2: I am hoping I am just being SUPER paranoid, though!

No, your not paranoid, Andrew hit us in Aug of 1992...the 22nd to be exact, and this is usually a BAD Month for Hurricanes, so keep your fingers and toes crossed!;) South Carolina is being hit with the outskirts of one now, I believe, Christopher?:confused3 Anyway, lets hope, as my trip is Aug. 22-24th!:thumbsup2 I better pack bologna sandwhiches, cause I doubt I will be able to eat at ANY Counter service without a LONG line, thanks to Free Dining!:headache:

I'm so excited - we're going from the 19th through the 30th. Been to WDW about 15 times, but this is our first time staying onsite. We'll be in a cabin at Fort Wilderness - woohoo!!!

We usually go in November, and from the guide sites, it looks like crowd levels are similar?

I know what you mean - we are going the last 2 weeks in August and usually keep track of hurricanes before we go. In 2005, we were lucky to go twice to WDW - once at the end of July (traditionally a fairly high occurrence of hurricanes) and it was so hot and only rained twice in 2 weeks. Then we went last week in October, when a major hurricane rarely hits, and we got Wilma. So now I quit worrying.

We'll be at BCV the last week of August. We've been there the last week of August a few times -- including once for hurricane Frances, and once during Katrina.
