My best friend and I had decided to use the strategy of going to a park each day that DID NOT have Early Entry or Late Night Hours. This seemed to work really well. Even with the heat, it seemed like people did not want to get an early start (when the weather was bearable). We always tried to get to the bus stop by 8:30 after having a granola bar or banana in our room for breakfast. This saved us a lot of time.

Upon arriving at EPCOT, we went straight to TEST TRACK which showed a 15 minute wait. The cast member at the entrance stated that it was more like 30 minutes and she was right. That was okay. The ride was very cool and different from what we had done in the past with designing a car, etc.

After this ride, we walked over to SOARIN' and got our Fastpass. We decided to kill some time by going to ELLEN'S ENERGY ADVENTURE and had no wait to get in. We really enjoyed it. We then headed to the "Big Ball" which I call "The History of Inventions". We only had a 20 minute wait, and enjoyed the interactive aspect with answering questions on the screen and seeing our faces with the results. That was new since we had been there before.

We went back to The Land for some lunch and we both had the grilled chicken Caesar salad. It was excellent and really hit the spot. We still had 40 minutes before our FastPass for Soarin', so we decided to go on LIVIN' WITH THE LAND, which had a very short line.

Our Fastpass was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and we walked right on. This has been my personal favorite at Epcot. Highly recommended!

We went into the World Showcase and headed straight to Japan to see the 2:15 p.m. drummer show. About 5 minutes before the appointed time, it started pouring rain. It lasted for about 20 minutes so....so much for that show. We walked over to THE AMERICAN ADVENTURE and got a seat for THE VOICES OF LIBERTY. What can I say about this group? The a capella music they perform is absolute perfection!! We wished they could have continued for another 45 minutes. We went into the show and totally enjoyed it.

On our way to CHINA, we stopped for some ice cream. We thought that the ACROBATS would be performing outside, but they decided to move the show into the pavilion which forced us to gobble down our ice cream in record time. The show was very good, especially the man that did the balancing act.

We walked down to MEXICO and took the boat ride. Cute!

We walked over to Norway and took the boat ride with a 30 minute wait. At the end, we were invited to give some feedback. We both said that it wasn't worth the wait. There wasn't anything interesting or fun about it. The only good thing was that it got us out of the heat!

We wanted to walk back to Japan for the 6:15 drum show, so we stopped at China for some Orange Chicken. We shared an entrée and thought it was very good! We saw the Japanese Drum Show this time with no problem.

We then walked over to CANADA to watch the movie. I love Martin Short, so I really enjoy this movie. The gardens were so beautiful.

We got a cold beverage and staked out a place for Illuminations at about 7:30. (We were at the entrance of Future World.) The lightning and thunder started picking up and by 8:00 it was pouring rain!! We put on our rain ponchos and weathered the storm which didn't let up until about 8:35 p.m. We were so glad they didn't have to cancel Illuminations because it is a fabulous show.

We made it back to the room about 10:00. A great day even with the rain!! Tomorrow we'll be at Hollywood Studios.
