Up before the dawn, today is EE at Disney Studios. We took a pre-dawn swim in the quiet pool. It was amazingly peaceful and beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone.
, and headed off to the studios. I had hurt my back before we left, and DS is timid, so we skipped the thrill rides. Instead we went on Star Tours and Muppets 3D. I was surprised to discover that GMR is not open during early entry. By the time we got back to it, the line was 40 minutes long, so we never did get on this ride. If I could give my vote for the next attraction to get FP, this would be it.

We got our FP for Indiana Jones, and went to Buy the Book for our traditional morning coffee. Since the Stitch movie came out today, DH bought it while we were there. Then we went to the animation studios so Stitch could sign the poster that came in it.
By this time, Indy was going in, so we got seats on the very right hand side, but only 2 rows up. As always, it was a pleasure.

After this, DS said he wanted to do WWTBAM, so we went in. When time was up they showed audience scores, and I wish time hadn't been up, I was number 1. DS was number 6. If we'd only had a little more time, I could have tried for the cruise. Oh well. We had a very light lunch at Starring Rolls, and looked in some shops. Did I mention our pin trading? I had already started work on collecting a creepy themed lanyard. I managed to get a few really cool pins on our trip.

After shopping, we checked the GMR again, and the line was still too long, so we decided we would head out over to Epcot. Heading towards the buses, we noticed launches which went to BW, Y&B and Epcot, and thought "Why not?" We had to scope out where the marina at Y&B was for our Illuminations Cruise that night, and we'd never been to Boardwalk. We got off at Dolphin and walked across the bridge to BW. It was very hot,and I remembered that there was a brew pub, so we relaxed and had a few tasty BEvERages, and watched the world go by.

Then we walked to Epcot, noting the way to Y&B as we passed. We arrived in the WS just in time to see the WS players do Cyrano de Bergerac in France. After enjoying this, we went through the French pavilion, and made our way to Morrocco where we caught some of the Mo'rockin show. Our next stop was the lounge in Japan for snacks and refreshements. We had a fairly nice view of the show from where we sat.

We did a bit of WS shopping, and caught a bit of Off Kilter and headed over to Y&B to catch our boat. We were sharing with another family, whom we met for the first time at the dock. They were very nice. Before we headed to the fireworks our captain took us out to Disney Studios to see it lit up. Lovely. I think we all enjoyed the experience of seeing Illuminations from the water. It was beautiful, and stirring.

After we returned to the marina, we grabbed a bus for DTD. We did a little more shopping. DS got himself a bionicle at the Lego store, and was most anxious to put it together. We left him to it, and DH and I headed over to the quiet pool for a bit of a swim.

Anyway, that was it for Tuesday. We headed off to bed.

Next - Day 3 In which we are launched.

Oh, no!

You must have been so disappointed! I hope you could at least see the fireworks.

Ciao,
Mort.

Wonderful reviews ~ Thanx for sharing!!!!

My son is 10 and we will be going this November so it is nice to read about another family of three enjoying themselves. Was your son interested in the characters at all?? Did he get autographs?

Yes, but this was his third trip, so it wasn't nearly so time consuming. He had already had the photos and autographs of so many of them. He only got his favourites this time.
