Anyone Know When Southwest Will Release Their Augst Rates/ Am I Better Off BoOking Elsewhere Or Wait For Sw Provi-mco Rates?

They opened up through the first week of August about two weeks ago. They have been releasing dates about every 6-8 weeks, so based on their recent habits my guess is that the rest of August will open up some time in early-to-mid April.

The only dates in Aug that are opened in Provi. are up to Aug 3.

I think it's the same for All of Southwest's locations, it's the same here for Long Island (August 6). I'm looking to book for October, and I'm guessing mid-April or May. I remember the last time I booked for MNSSHP, I had the windows open and the house was warm, so May sounds about right.

Also, I've downloaded DING. Whenever they have one of those sales, I see a little envelope on the Southwest symbol in my toolbar (even if I'm not "online") and I check the DING every night anyway. Just seeing that tailfin in my toolbar reminds me every day.

Yeah im in limbo here b/c i want to rent points at WLV for August but i dont want to do it unitl i have my Southwest flight b/cthe dates could change. Im afraid i may not be able to rent the points if i wait?? Any suggestions??????????

The past two years they have open up for august in March.

On March 17th for '05 and March 25th for '05. My prediction is March 16th.

It was thru the 9/12 in '05 and 9/13 in '04.

Okey Dokey.......You're good! Next time I book with SW, I'm gonna write the opening dates down in my little notebook! If anyone wants to know, I booked Mid-April during Mid-December
