Has anyone found any amazing deals for August yet?

So far the best I have found is the one I booked a few months ago with Dollar - no codes used - picking up in Tampa, dropping off at MCO Aug 26 to Sept 1 mid sized SUV (lots of luggage after the cruise!)for $186

But my Aug. - Sept. rate just went down with National, was $172. and now $148. (6 days)
Using National 5007125 and Ent. free day coupon.

Me either. I have a minivan for 8/11-8/24 for $598 through Dollar. I keep checking and haven't found anything less expensive yet.

Hey guys!! Try Dollar but put in 8 days instead of 7. We are staying 10 days 8/15 - 8/25 and got $118/week for a compact car. It only pops up when you enter more than a week. Not sure why. It is promo code 570 so I am sure you can get it for a week. It pops for MCO, and also for the DTD location and for TPA.

Also, I just checked it again and now it is saying $125/week...Hmmm. I reserverd it at $118 with the same code...

Giving a bump to this thread.

Best I have found so far is Barbi's rate for Dollar at Grosvenor. I did try Huskies90 trick for longer rentals and for some odd reason an 8 day rental came out to less than a 7 day rental on his code....the weekly rate is better than the one I have now, but by the time I add on the extra day it is a little more.

For what its worth I am putting in Priceline bids for my dates about onex/week but no hits yet. I will post if anything turns up there.

Check your Dollar rates today. I had originally booked a minivan for 8/11 - 8/19 for a total of $425. I checked today and did NOT use a coupon and the rate dropped to $333.

I got a minivan for late July/early August. The rate went down further when I clicked on a pop up ad for city specials for Orlando. The cost went from the $333 to $286, 9 days.

Thanks for these posts, I have been checking for days now. This is definitely the best deal I could find for a minivan.

I spent a lot of time checking National, this price was about the same as a full size car for the same period, using the Emerald Isle and Entertainment codes.

I am a happy camper.
