Looking for any codes for car rental for 10 days in August :) I havent seen any threads yet, apologies if one exists already!

Is anyone else finding the rates crazy this year? We need something for 6 people and cant find much under 1000 for 9 days..we would normally pay about half for the same!

Could be the class of car you are checking for 6 pp…I assume you would need a minivan or full size SUV?

Booked multiple trips of 9 - 11 days last year, into February this year, using car rental savers to quickly check all the codes. Our rates averaged $180 to $380. Auto slash another option, hasn’t been producing for me.

We use Hertz as Gold for the perks & points (which you can accumulate using car rental savers/priceline). On the Gold Aisle, often can grab a small to medium size SUV, but have never seen a large one with a 3rd row on it. Rarely, is a mini van is sitting there.

Suggest you specifically book something by the “seat” for you needs.

it’s rather early for August, best rates I see tend to pop up starting as soon as 3 months out. However, it’s always a good idea to have a cancellable reservation as a placeholder IMO.

Used them for years, unfortunately, they haven’t been in same ballpark as car rental savers for our needs. I still do register rental bookings for potential price drop notifications

Car rental savers or autoslash still not giving me anything less that about $550 for a week in August..but yes we do need space for 6..

I'm looking for Aug 28-Sep 4 for a compact or intermediate SUV and so far the lowest I've found is $443 at Alamo using Costco travel. Autoslash is usually my go to site, but it's definitely been too expensive. I also will not consider any offsite rental company when traveling with my kids and I just don't like them in general unless it's the only option.

Oh 100% me too re the onsite/in terminal..I am seeing cheaper for offsite, but been there done that once before and not interested again.

I managed to get my rental down to $380 at Alamo through Costco Travel. It must have been a quick lowered price as they are back up to $440s. I'm sure it's due in to being over Labor Day weekend.
