Me – 37…… just love it all
DH – Enz – 46…..has ‘gone along’ with the Florida/Disney thing for years but think he finally loves it too!
DD – Gabs – 14…..loves Pirates of the Caribbean…….money burns a hole in her pocket
DS – Gianni – 11….loves Chip n Dale…..can’t wait to spend!

Well I really can’t believe that we’ve been home a few days now. The trip feels like a lifetime ago :sad1: All this week I’ve been saying ‘this time last week we were in……’

We had a really great time and I loved that we managed to do a couple of different things this time. My absolute favourite was finally getting see Cirque.

Since getting home it’s been strange not watching Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody before bedtime!

It’s funny how we see things differently. I thought the queues weren’t too bad, DH thinks they were horrendous.

Still can’t help that feeling of guilt when I’m walking through the Fastpass line and there’s all the poor souls standing for ages. Not guilty enough to bin the FP and join them though, I just don’t make eye contact ;)

Overall everyone was really pleasant. A lot of the Disney CM’s interacted with those queuing for the rides and were really chatty in the shops – more so than I’ve noticed before.

Disney really does spoil you though. The staff at Busch Gardens and Sea World just didn’t have the slickness. Getting onto some of the rides was a bit of a free for all. I like the way Disney CM’s ask ‘how many?’ the say ‘rows 3 & 4’.

I can definitely, hand on heart, say we won’t be back in Orlando next year. We’ve already planned and paid the deposit on our biggie holiday next year – skiing in Winter Park, Colorado. We then plan to go to Italy for a week or 2 in the summer break splitting the time between my mum-in-law’s house and my parents’ house.

But…….I’m hoping and planning in my head to return in 2009 or 2010….not in great detail yet but just over 2 weeks. 3 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel with the children, DH flying out to join us for a 4 night Disney cruise, then 10 nights in a villa or a suite hotel. Hoping to use Virgin miles to pay for the flights. As I said it’s only a rough idea and I’ve not really given it any thought but looking at 2009 ;)

I’m so glad I’ve put something in writing/print, whatever, lol I really regret not doing it last year and everything gets muddled in this old head of mine.

Forgot to mention shopping and it doesn't really deserve a thread of it's own. After our trip to Boggy Creek we shopped at The Florida Mall and the Premium Outlets. We were in luck as unbeknown to us Orlando was having a 'tax free' weekend (might have been longer) on clothes and shoes up to $50 an item. Say no more....Gabs shopped and shopped. I didn't do too badly either

Gianni treated himself to a new DS Lite and was more than happy.

I also made a couple of trips to WalMart and came out with 3 humungous bottles each of my Aussie shampoo and conditioner. Should keep me going until we go back :thumbsup2

I agree that staff at Disney are excellent. We were in Legoland yesterday and to be honset I could have done without it. There were no staff around to ask questions, the maps were poor and the queues were too long. Travelling from Wales took a little over 2 hours to get oFf the M4. The longest part was getting from the M4 to the park, over 40 minutes! Why is it the Americans seem to organise their parks etc better than us Brits? I will not be visiting Legoland again for several years. To be honest it was disappointing. Disney here we come!!

I hate coming back too and do the 'this is what we doing this time last week..' sketch also. My only remedy is have next year's return booked before we go which helps to soften the home blues.

thats fuuny we are doing the... this time IN two weeks etc at the moment :rotfl2:

At least you can say you've been to Legoland :) doesn't make you feel any better though does it? Sounds like a very dissapointing day.

I keep getting nearly tempted to use some of my Tesco vouchers for Alton Towers but I know I'll make comments all day long so think I'll just use them for magazines lol

Enjoyed reading your reports, thanks for posting.

Thank you for sharing your reports with us, really enjoyed them:thumbsup2

I too enjoyed your reports. We are not back to WDW until 2010. Keeping an eye open to see when the disney cruise returns to the med though.

I too like the way disney cast members ask how many in your party in order to get on the ride together.
