August in the parks - Sleeveless or tee shirt???

I was wondering if it would be better to put my 3 (very fair) kids in tee shirts rather than sleeveless shirts? I would think the sleeveless would be more comfy in the heat but that they'd be more prone to sunburn & also would get too cold in the air conditioning..what do you do?

I like sleeves because I tend to get toasted to a crisp. My DD14 however insists on wearing tank tops and she is very fair with strawberry blonde hair.

We do sleeveless and lots of sunscreen throughout the day w/out a problem.
