That seems to have been a normal amount in the past. If you exercise only on the weekdays, which there are 23 of them this month, that's approx. 44 minutes each day. If you exercise every day, that's a little over 32 minutes a day. Just depends on how often and how long your exercises are.

Sure you can join! 500 is fine. I figured if I exercise for 30 mins each time, I need to exercise almost 17 of 31 days this month. Whatever works for you! ;) (You can always change your goal, too)

You just commit to exercise so many minutes for the month, 200, 500, 1000 or more, whatever you like. Then keep track, and post here, where we'll cheer :cheer2: each other on during the month. It's accountability and comraderie ya know? ;) Join us!! :grouphug:

I'm joining. This is my fourth challenge. I made goal in May, June and July, no reason why I can't in August too. Sign me up for 1200 minutes in August.

Day 2!! I got 30 minutes in before DH and the girls got up this morning!! SO now I am 60/500...still a long way to go but I am so thrilled to have that out of the way already today. Now if I do anything else tonight it will be a bonus!!

Ok, time to regroup!

I'm going to be realistic and go for 750 this month. It is just TOO HOT here! Hopefully I'll blow that away, but......
 
For those who have done this before....what amount do you suggest to aid in weight loss? Would the 500 be enough or should it be double?
 
I'm going for 1000 minutes again (I just got back this minute from the Boy Scout Jamboree where I walked and walked and walked). I put in 90 minutes just yesterday and that is a conservative estimate.

I am also going to Disney in two weeks and that should help with the total.

ok KimRaye - I'll call my 1000 and raise myself another 500

(can you tell i just got back from a Vegas trip! :rotfl2: )

i workout 6 days a week, between 30-60 mins with longer walks on Saturdays usually 90 mins. but i haven't been consisent with those during the summer. 1000 is probably about my norm - so please bump me to 1500

do you prefer we just check in weekly for your count at the beginning of this thread?? I have 90 mins done so far
