August Discounts

Ok, I am sick of seeing just the free dining threads. I'd like to see everyone share what discount they have found for August, no matter if it is AAA, AP, etc. So that the rest of us can save some $$$

We are going August 10th-19th with DDP no matter what, but if we can save a few dollars we certainly will take advantage of it.

No AP discount yet. AAA is available. It depends on available rooms at various resorts. AAA rooms do sell out for specific dates.

Some people on these boards have reported 40% off of room only reservations, but you needed a code sent to you specifically by Disney with a PIN code. The PIN code is assigned to a specific household. That promo has since expired. That was a great deal if you could get it!

Those are the only codes I'm aware of for August.

I am going 8/21 thru 8/26 and booked thru AAA. Received 15% off room at the BCV. I called disney direct and was told no 40% code was attached to
my name. I booked thru AAA because I wanted to add dining package.

We are going to BVCs too and saved 15% off our villa on an AAA rate booked by our TA

We are going Aug 5th-13th and saved 20% off Pop for $59 per night through our AAA office. We also got $50 off because we booked in January and an additional $25 Disney gift card when we check into the hotel.
For 3 of us--8 nights with dining it was $2278 I took any discount I could get as I don't want to pull my child out of school. I'm just hoping the dining plan doesn't disappoint--that was the only area we were grey on.

I haven't booked yet, but I was told that rack rate is $145 and AAA discount would be 20% off. Unless my calculations are off, I'm figuring $145 - $29 (20%) + $14.50 (12.5% tax) = $130.50 per night.

I'd love to get it for $114 including tax!!

I currently have a AAA rate at the CR Tower Club concierge for 15% off for August 25-30.

I'm not planning to use Free Dining even if it comes out for my dates because (1) with concierge, the dining plan is too much food, and (2) because I booked such an expensive room, a 15% discount is like $90/night, and when I factor in the price of the 1 day tickets and rack rate on the room, the 'free' dining isn't that great of a deal.

Now, if they offer a better room-only code, I'll be on the phone trying to get it!
