There is a chance I may be going to DL Paris in a few weeks. Can anyone tell me what the crowds are like?

Its BUSY! We are there in just a few days and have two previous trips during August! We must be mad! BUT there are ways to make the most of the parks.

If you're staying in an on site hotel, get up for EMH.
Eat lunch early (Pretty much at 12:00) and dinner early (6:00pm) then when everyone else is looking for somewhere to eat, you are riding.

Watch the parade once-then get on rides whilst everyone else is sat waiting for the parade to start.

Use fast passes when you can.

Others might come up with tips, but these are our tricks ;)

The crowds are generally high during summer time, but for the last few weeks they've been unusually low and managable.
Be prepared for crowds, and if they're lighter than expected, it's only added pixie dust :)

If you compare it to off season, then its extremely busy in the sense you'll have to wait in queues, but its really not that bad.

We tend to only go in August, with the exception of one December trip, and I can definitely say I preferred August!

Thanks everyone for the tips. I just went to Disney World in Florida back in late June. The crowds were intense...I wonder how those crowds compare to DLP August crowds? The worst part was the humidity though...as long as DLP isn't humid like WDW was I think I'll be ok! ;)

Even if it's blazing hot when you go, the only place you'll feel anything like summer weather in Orlando will be the queue for Pirates of the Carribean. It's unbearably hot and humid, it's unbreathable inside that queue when it's hot. (no air conditionning).

For the rest of the park it will be hot but rather dry

Crowd comparison ... hard to say, because Disneyland Park (paris' MK) is much bigger than WDW's MK. It's feels like there is more space to move around. But there are also less characters and less attractions, so it's rather difficult to make a comparison

usually, august crowds look like WDW's august crowds (second part, after school as resumed)
but this year, it looks more like late february/early march crowds, or on busy days it looks like Jersey week in Orlando.

Hope it gives you perspective, but this is only "as of now", who knows how crowds will be like in august, because 2013 has been a very strange year crowd-wise.

Thanks again so much! I figure if I can survive WDW crowds in June in that crazy humidity I can survive anything! :rotfl:

Have you an android or Iphone? there is actually an app for queue times-The app wont work in DLP itself as there is no wifi, but we have been looking at queue times sat at home on it and they really are not bad. :)
*Yes, we have been pretending what rides we would go on and then run to next!* :rotfl2:

We found the crowds to be not as high as I'm used to in summer - going back in two weeks for 6days with our 9year old daughter this time. The only thing that knocked us for six was the extreme high temps and humidity two weeks ago. DF is used to the heat working in central Paris, but inside the parks it played havoc with our sinuses! I had to buy meds as the air was kicking the hell out of my airways!!!
Its cooled down down and the crowds are still not "crowds" to us - hoping that we aren't drenched in sweat this time around, the suncream was impossisible to keep topped up!!
