August crowds

We have been going to WDW the last week of August every other year since 2005. We r leaving August 24th for a 8 night stay once again. I usually love this week! It's not crowded at all! I am nervous about this years trip because I see Disney has been adding hours to their schedule. They never do this if anything they scale back. Do u think it's because they r expecting large crowds? Has this ever happened to anyone?

I wouldnt worry quite yet. Disney has been having a good year but the reasons behind the late August decreasing crowds are the same, mainly schools (especially down south) are going back

Plus, i will be there from august 23 to 31 to I hope im right

I sure am hoping so too, we will be there the 24th-9/2.

The crowds should drop from 8 to 5 for the first few days then down to 2/3s

I hope so!! It usually is super low crowds even with FD! Can't wait to just get there!

When we go we usually go the last week of August and they always seem to increase their hours a few weeks before we get there. We still found the crowds to be pretty light. We are going again this year the same time as you and are hoping for decent crowds.
