August crowd strategies? FP for park hopping & what to bring

We've decided to add two park days on to another trip. We'll be there mid-August. We've never traveled to the parks before Labor Day. We normally RD one park, leave when it starts to get hot (so after an early lunch) and then visit another park after 4pm.

For FP, is it safe to assume that we can make FP's 60 days out for park 1 and then make a second set for the afternoon at a second park on the day of? Would we need to make set 2 one ride at a time? Which park should be a higher priority for the 1st set of FP - AK (EE & Avatar rides), HS (ToT, maybe Slinky dog, & RRC), or EPCOT (Frozen, Guardians show, and Spaceship Earth, maybe test track??)?

We'll be staying onsite, so does it make sense to go where EMH are in the morning, or will that park be super crowded?

Crowds are predicted to be 5/10 or 6/10, should we expect to have long waits for food and water? If so, does anyone know a good way to carry multiple bottles of water with us?

Some people like going to the park that has morning EMH and then hopping to a different park. I treat parks with EMH like I treat Epcot festivals on the weekend. Avoid at all costs.

Yes, after you use your first 3 FP+ of the day, you will make each additional FP+ one by one, regardless if you stay at that park or hop to another. Whichever park you will be at in the morning, make your 3 FP+ at the 60+ day mark and worry about the FP+ for the afternoon park then. FP+ are too easy to get to not ride just about everything via FP+.

Yes. you can make additional FPs after you use the initial three but not a "set". You will make them one at a time. We often can get 8-10 in a day, especially if we are at MK. Make sure you understand how to utilize the "refresh" method for acquiring more fast passes.
