August Challenge!!!

MY ds has been 'napping 'since 4:30 (he's been sick and is overtired) and it is 10:15 - so I managed to get another 4 pages done

I completed 3 pages from my All About Me album yesterday. That makes a grand total of 8 ! Which for me is good considering I have signed up for so many swaps lately .

2 done last night -
now I have a few swaps to get done -
then I will be working on making some page kits for my weekend crop next weekend - where watch out I'll be a scrapping fool!

It is never too late to join. And I managed to scrap a bit this weekend. Believe the count was 18. More than I thought I'd get done. Hope to do a few more today.

I TRIED to make 'page kits' to take to a weekend crop -
and well once I got my items picked I put them al together and finished 4 of the pages LOL
that puts me at 22 pages completes
and only 3 page 'kits' ready for the crop!

I can tell you how I do page kits....on the livingroom carpet!

I sit on the floor with my pictures, paper and empty page protectors. Then I choose papers and stickers...making notes for titles and such.

I tend to take my embellishments with me at crops...or buy them there.

At least doing it on the carpet....I don't have much chance of putting them together..though it definitely puts me in the mood!

BTW....I am STILL working on putitng together this months gifts! I did add a package of USA die cuts...with adhesive already on them....sorry that might not help our Canadian friends...but there are lots of things in there you could use too!

If I ever finish with the page kits I am working on right now...I may get to choosing the other things.

I am busy scrapping even as I type (no, not literally!) I am up to 10 pages so far. Need to go find an appropriate poem for my daughter's first day of school---2 years ago!!!!!! LOL, I am just a little behind on her album! My poor almost 3 year old, her album is still blank!

I'm at 10 pages for the month. Woo! I had fun doing some black and white photos on black paper- classy!

Finished 10 more pages today, brings me up to 22 so far in August. I just used a bunch of stuff I won in the June Challenge, thanks again Deb!

I hope to keep scrapping tonight, my daughter's scrapbook is now up to her 4th Birthday (she is 5.5 now) so I am catching up! I need to go buy a couple of new books (cha-ching!) because I really cannot stand the funky sized one I am working on now (like 11.5 inches or something weird like that). My LSS owner just loves me!

and another 5 page kits made!
I hope to plug away at a couple more layouts tonight after our chat too!
I am packing stuff as I go along and then I have to unpack it as I need it so these last ones will be it til Friday! Then watch my total on Sunday after I get back from a weekend of no phone ringing - no kids crying - no husband whining - just SCRAPPING SCRAPPIN SCRAPPING!

if I keep this up I will reach an all time high!

I think it is hard to work on pages with all the back to school excitement!

I went to two crops yesterday...and both were basically empty!! I am not sure if it made it harder or easier to concentrate. Sometimes, I really need to see the creativity of others to get y juices flowing.

I'm having to bow out of the Aug. Challenge due to me having surg. on Thur. Last month I had a mass removed from my (L) breast and on Fri the Dr. called me with the path report and its a rare Cancer. So I'm going in for a Sentinel Node Biopsy. So please keep your fingers and toe crossed that all goes well and I will be back for the Sept. Challenge.
Thank God I'm almost done with the fall swap, just have to glue my little Gobblers together.
