HI, I AM PLANNING A WDW VACATION FROM 8/27/04 TO 9/07/04 AND I'VE NOTICED THAT A LOT OF WEBSITES MAKE AUGUST A VERY BUSY MONTH FOR WDW. IS THIS TRUE? CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP OUT WITH SOME SUGGESTIONS? I'D REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE.

Aug is usually very crowded and hot. The end of Aug. though is much less crowded, and also the beginning of the value season, because children have gone back to school by then. Hope that helps some.

Hi, welcome to the Dis:wave: I was in DW the end of August afew yrs ago. It wasn't all that crowded but it was very hot! Around 103, but I don't think its usually that hot then. We made sure we took plenty of water to the parks, and took afternoon breaks back at the resort or spent time at a water park, which were very crowded because of the heat. Have fun!

We went Aug 23-Sept 2. I dont think the crowds were that bad. I went during "value season" and I was under the impression thats when the park was at its slowest. It was miserably humid though....I wouldn't go again at that time of year unless you love the heat. It did feel like it was gonna rain, and it did!

School normally starts in August for Floridian's so its less crowded but Hot and Rains alot!

I think ride waiting times, for fast pass ranged from 30 min to an hour at most, when we were there.... so I think that sounds reasonable-

Universal was far worse, their fastpass was "full for the day" at many of their main attractions.

You will be contending with Labor Day weekenders from Sept 3-6th, so you might keep in mind that crowds will be a little heavier then, especially Sat-Mon.

We went last year from Aug 16-23.

One word for you..... RAIN !!!!!!!

Holy cow! It rained all but 2 days and it was incredibly humid. When I got off the plane and the sun was out, I said to my fiance... "Ahhhh I could move here, this weather is gorgeous!"

With in 24 hours and a lot of hard rain.. I was ready to go home. LOL There was no femininity involved at all. I was sweating like a man while waiting in lines. LOL

We're going back this year over the 4th of july. I'm sure it will be croweded but perhaps not as humid??? LOL
