August and DVC resorts?

How tough is it to book ANY DVC resort in the summer? We own at BCV and when we were down last Aug. the BW seemed really quiet! We don't have a firm plan on what to do with our last points of '03, and we may just bank them.
If we would decide to go back to WDW, I'm not really fussy about where we'd stay, just wondering if we'd be able to get anything if we waited until the 6 or 5 month window (studio or 1 BR). What are my chances?

WE travel every august, and we have no real difficulty getting the rooms that we want. 1 bedrooms are usually available in large numbers at OKW....if you travel in the last 2 weekes of august, many kids are already back in school (at least in florida)...so it makes it alot easier to get rooms

We were able to get a studio for the last week in July (2002) at OKW at four weeks out. There was a studio available at VWL the third week in August when I called in June. Would have loved to have it, but we were locked into that week in July, plus OKW used less points.

I was able to switch one of my two weeks at OKW for one week at VWL just about one month (maybe 5 weeks) out!!

Summer tends to be one of DVC's easier times of year to get ressies at shorter notice than usual. Highly likely you will be able to find something although not necessarily BWV particularly since there are likely to still be a number of rooms out of service at BWV then due to the ongoing renovation.
