Does it matter when we go? How is weather at this time? Are there shuttles form airport to DL?

Weather is hot and humid during this time. It may be less busy during the later dates because some schools (esp. in AZ) are back in session.

Humid? Rarely can SoCal weather be considered humid. I lived there for 28 years.

No, the difference between these two weeks will not matter. We have gone the first week of August the last two years and the daily high temperatures never got above 85 degrees. However, last summer there was a heat wave in July where it 100 degrees at DLR on a number of days, so the potential is there for significant heat. And then the bulk of your park time will be during those glorious mornings and evenings where temperatures are in the 70's.

HOWEVER, if you get a nearby hotel and take a swim and nap break every afternoon during the hottest part of the day, any heat that exists will not affect you very much.

I believe there are shuttles from the airport, but have never used them so others will have to pitch in here.

Ok, you have to understand I'm from AZ, and DL definitely feels humid to me in August. :cool2:

I have lived in So Cal most of my life and it is rarely humid here. I have been to WDW three times. In Feb, March and Oct. Every single time was too humid for us. In fact, the Oct trip was for the F&W Fest and we could not stay outside for more than a few hours due to the humidity. So, my point is that it is all comparative to where YOU live and what YOU are used to! As for crowds, it will slow down a little the last week of August, but the first three weeks are prime summer time ;)

Have a great trip, whatever you decide:dance3:
