Been out of town for my neice's college graduation, came back and found us on page 2! Just bumping us back. Got lots of chores to catch up on.

Hi guys, just a quick check in. My parents have arrived, and things are pretty busy. I'll try to check in and MOST definitely will be back with cruise updates.
My parents documents arrived more than a week ago, but not mine. I'll be calling DCL tomorrow, but I really only need the luggage tags. Docs are downloaded and all signed.
I'm making packing notes. By next week at this time, I'll be insane, trying to do laundry and pack. Less than 2 weeks!
And watching the ship on the web cams has only made me more excited, I won't believe the Magic is really "here" till I see her!!

The great news was Brynée and I along with another family were the "Guest Families" of DL!! We were chosen to enter first and had our pictures taken in front of the floral "50." We shouted out "Let the Magic Begin" and led the "countdown" to let the lines of people come through the turnstiles!!! I never knew they did something like this...probably because we were farther back in line! Brynée was the first person in the line and the family behind us asked if they could be the guest family and the captain of the CMs asked us to join in the fun We rode 6 rides in the first hour and then had snacks and shopped a little.
The bad news is that all of the Visa pins are gone - we checked in DL, DCA and DTD. Also, all of the Mickey 50 Ear pins were gone! We checked every store and pin cart!! The CMs say that they come and GO!!! The Gold Glitter Mickey Ears antenna balls are also hard to find!

Tried to book the "Dolphin Swim" for Brynée last night and the website kept saying I could only book 75 days out. Tried this morning and then the "Swim" was booked...now she is on for the Dolphin Encounter and I'll go as an observer. I e-mailed to ask for her to be waitlisted on the "swim."

Itinkso...I ordered my Disney Visa pin online and had no problem. You just have to order a minumum of two though.

I am very relieved to hear that. You wouldn't believe the trouble my friend had getting all of them. It was mostly the $1's and my $50 that was the problem. You would think they were made of gold the way Disney is allowing them to be sold and only at certain locations.
I saw them on ebay for more than face value

A zillion thanks to your friend, too! Are people actually buying them on eBay? Goodness ~

What's really funny is that when I signed up DD and DS for Oceaneer club/lab - they give the option of adding on people who can "checkout" my kids. When I went to the pull-down menu to select me - ALL of you guys are listed in the pull-down menu! Anybody want to take my kids sometime? I'm sure I can add you to our list....

Guess the reservation "linking" worked!

That is so funny about us being linked to the kids too. I should be able to see that this weekend, I will be paying off the cruise by the end of the week. Anyone want an 11yo too?!?

I guess I need to decide about high tea if it will be just myself or both of us. That's really the only Palo ressie I want to make.
I still haven't looked at the excursions again. I think I will do that this weekend. But then we may just 'wing it' at each port. Not really looking to do anything in Puerto Vallarta since we stayed a week there before.

Sorry about your internet still being down at home. My mom is having problems with her computer at the beach.

Busy week, end of year activities. Last night was DD's Memorial Day chorus concert. They had all the veterans stand up when they played their branch of the military's theme song. My father was so proud to stand up with the Air Force, they were all so pleased to be honored.

Tonight was the National Jr. Honor Society induction ceremony. At the reception afterwards we realized how tall some of these 8th graders are. One girl is 6 feet tall at 14 yrs. old. My DD is 5'3" so far...

Well we paid off our cruise today and booked our airfare and hotel at Disneyland. Jenny, We took your suggestion and booked the Park Inn. We fly home Monday night so we'll have 3 not quite full days at DL after the cruise. Now we can start thinking about excursions!

Just checking in. Brynee's dress rehearsal for her high school Dance Show was tonight and she was finally finished at 10! She's so tired; the show will be the next 2 nights and she's in 7 dances and is even breakdancing in one number ! Grad Nite is tomorrow so I'll be checking on pins again! I hope I make it until 5am Friday morning!!

I was just checking the DCL website and they are now showing cats. 4-10 as being available. I guess as the 60 day mark gets closer people are cancelling and TA's are having to release their block of cabins. They are still accepting ressies for kids too.

Trying to pay off my cruise and I can't get in touch with my TA. I've never wanted to make a payment in my life.....what has DCL done to me?!?

Have a great time Brynee! Am I supposed to say "Break a Leg" for a show or is that just plays? She must have a lot of energy!

I can't believe it has been a whole year since we started this thread, it has gone pretty fast considering. Stacey will have been on 2 cruises since I have been sitting here waiting! I want to plan the next vacation already, but I can't decide where to go (the one after that will probably be booked onboard, LOL)
