August 6, 2005 Mexican Riviera..Who's In?

I guess I will steal reply #800 before I finish packing :earseek: .
See you in a few hours Stacey :cool1: :jumping4: :Pinkbounc  .

If anyone hears of any trouble being caused in Vegas this weekend I DIDN'T do it, I swear :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: !!!

Stacey - enjoyed your pictures! Jealous of the January tan! I don't even have a tan in August!
Have fun in Vegas and remember what they say "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" so we won't be hearing of any trouble!
Vickie

Looks like you went to some beautiful ports on this trip! Have fun in Las Vegas you two, hope you win some money. Will you be seeing any shows while you're there?

Cathy

Hi everyone,

I'm new to these boards and am looking forward to my first Disney cruise, which will also be my first cruise period. The whole family is going--my wife, our son (five months), and my stepdaughter (three). I just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks.

Carl

Disneyland annual passport holders

Barb is here in Arizona at my house. We are just getting ready to head for the airport! Whoo hoo!

Maybe we will win VERY big...and pay for our cruise!!

Welcome Carl! Hopefully we can answer your questions.

See you all later.....hold down the fort!

Stacey and Barb:moped:
P.S. We see Jay Leno tonight, Thunder From Down Under tomorrow night and "O" Sunday night.

I hope you didn't have to read all of our posts from the beginning! Have you ever cruised with Disney (or any other cruise line) before? Sounds like you are a Californian since you are a Disneyland passholder?

Cathy

Welcome Carl! We are also Annual Passholders...we are about 3 hours away from DL though the Grapevine is impassable so instead of DL we went to San Francisco this week! Hope the new storm isn't too bad in your area - the wind knocked down 1 of our fences and our pool is a mess. Hope you will enjoy visiting on these boards!

Thanks for the warm greetings. This will be my first cruise. We live in Los Angeles, and it's pouring outside but luckily we got our roof fixed a week before the storms all began. Anyone else with young kids?

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Been raining a lot here.

Carl - my kids will be 16 and 11 when we cruise, so no to your young kids question.
Vickie

Hi guys!

I got back late last night, and Barb probably got home at about 5:30 a.m. this morning. If she's smart, she'll still be asleep right now.
We had a ball. The shows were great. Leno was on for at least an hour and a half...much longer than I expected. And the show "O" is beyond astounding! I really recommend it highly.

Are all of you California folks okay? We've had a lot of rain, and they had snow and ice in Las Vegas that delayed our arrival there. Weird weather!

Carl, our kids will be 15 and 12 when we cruise, but if you have questions about the cruise, even for the younger ones, I still may be able to help.

My new washer and dryer just arrived, so I guess I'll go see if I can figure out how they work! I think I should have gotten an engineering degree!

See ya later,
Stacey

We were fallling............................

Anyone else wish DCL would post our shore excursion offerings?? It's time to start to plan!!

I think I'll buy a couple of books about the Mexican Riviera, having never been there, and maybe visit AAA. It will give me something fun and exciting to plan and study while I'm at my Mom's forever. It will only seem like forever, it's actually 2 1/2 weeks.

I will probably be on here talking to myself a lot. I don't deal well with "down time".

Off to work...really....

Talk to you later,
Stacey

Most of us have older kids so far on this thread. My DD is 13. Sorry to hear about all the storms and mudslides in CA. I wish Mother Nature would just relax for awhile. We keep getting snow followed by ice here in CT.

I know what you mean. I looked under other cruise lines on the internet that cruise Mexico. I only found little write-ups of what is there. I didn't spend a lot of time yet. It looks like it is beautiful there though. :boat:

Welcome Carl
We have an 11 year old DD, so not that young.

It's hard to get back into the family routine after being with Stacey for a few days :earboy2: :earseek: . We had a great time!

I agree that its time to start planning! And I'm ready for some sun and warm weather!

I talked to my Mom today. She sees the surgeon and anesthesiologist Friday. They are going to talk about having her go to a rehabilitation facility for 2 weeks after her surgery, which means I would change my tickets and not go up until she is ready to come home.
I am really REALLY hoping that that's what they do. First of all, it would be much better to have someone helping her who is much better qualified than me.
She would take orders better from someone else.
It would be great to have a good start on her therapy. AND....(the selfish part)
I wouldn't miss Jordan dancing in her first production!
I still would be there for the same amount of time, but at least it wouldn't be when she was feeling incredibly, horribly rotten.
Keep your fingers crossed!

I did go and get a Disney scrapbook today, and a ton of supplies. I'm determined to stay busy while I'm there!!

I looked at some of the shore excursions that Princess and Royal Caribbean offer. They have the same things.

Not much to do in Mazatlan at all. Well, I guess it depends on what your interests are. Maybe that will be a SHOPPING day!

Several boat trips in Cabo and PV. Beach stuff, snorkel, lunch.

After such a hectic Christmas cruise, I wanted this one to be more relaxing....looks like I may get my wish!
