A quick Hi and Merry Christmas!
We gave the kids their "invitations" to the cruise and you can't even imagine bigger smiles on anyone's faces! Needless to say they are thrilled and as anxious as all of us!

We are finished with our 3 days of parties at our house, they all went well with lots of cooking and cleaning in between. We did get bad news that my sister-in-law's father passed on Christmas Day, so we have a funeral to attend in Boston on Wednesday now. I was planning on working but now I may take the whole week off...

Better bump us back to page 1. I saw that Stacey is back from the Christmas cruise on that thread, but I am sorry to hear that she has a cold or the flu... Hope you feel better soon Stacey, I will look for any trip reports from that trip to see how it went. Sounds like it was wonderful!

Yes, I'm home....feeling lousy, but at least it was after the cruise!

I am tired....but ready to get back on the ship again. If DCL does anything special for our Mexican Riviera cruises, like they did for the 10 day, we're in for a real treat! They were marvelous. Best service ever. Probably didn't hurt that the DCL pres was onboard.
Found out that the crew members and even the Captain read the boards, but aren't allowed to post.

Still putting things away, but wanted to say hi. I'll write more when I get my work all done. I am way too tired right now.

I'll probably change my mind, but let me put this on record now.....I AM NOT DOING FORMAL NIGHTS AGAIN! Those made for a whole extra suitcase.

It's been a tiring week. Went to Gettysburg today, it was very nice. It's amazing all the history that took place in 3 days and all the events that were recorded by time. We did the self guided 2 hour driving tour, actually learned some things. We also stood in the spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address, it's in the middle of a cemetary now.


Stacey, sorry if you got totally confused by the phone call tonight. BUT, it gave me a very good laugh from what I could hear of the conversation on this end of the phone. It will be great to get together with you next week to hear all about the cruise I wasn't on.

Happy New Year everyone! Finally getting a break from the rainy weather and it's a beautiful day here We'll be off to San Francisco for a few days...hopefully the new storms won't be too strong. Stacey - glad to hear you had a great cruise...can't wait for more details!

I just finished reading a trip report on the Christmas cruise and there were some wonderful photos (including Stacey's vow renewal with her family). It looked so magical and romantic!

Stacey, How did the kids do on the cruise meeting other kids and all? My DD is still reluctant, but I think she'll feel better once other kids know about it and perhaps talk to her on the boards. At least it is 2005 now so it seems closer...

Cathy, I was thinking about how it seems closer now too...
The kids had a ball. It was like they had all known eachother forever. We ended up putting all the kids at one big table, and let the servers deal with them! We did have to remind them to behave a few times, but all in all, they did really well. By the 2nd day, they were treating eachother like brothers and sisters, complete with fighting.

I'll have pics of the vow renewal up as soon as I get them back from the wedding coordinator. I need to e-mail her about them. It was amazing, all that I had dreamed of, and then some.

Well, off to bed. Still not feeling the best, hopefully tomorrow I will feel more human.

Hey, we were on page two! The horror!!


Believe it or not, I went to work today. I feel like I will never be caught up! Guess I won't even try.....I think I'll go away for the weekend.

In the middle of my 8 or so loads of laundry, my washer broke. I'm researching online to buy a new one. Beats the heck out of going shopping!

I keep thinking my washer will go any minute, although it is working fine. It will be 15 yrs. old soon, how long do they last? The dryer is the same age.
Our other appliances are newer, we just bought a new refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom, we put the old one in the basement for extra space to keep things. It was great over the holiday with all the party stuff We watched a show on the Travel channel last night with the Disney Magic and Wonder! It was cool.

Hi Vickie!

Well, guys...hold down the fort for Barb and I. She arrives in what is now finally sunny Arizona tomorrow. Then we are off to Vegas!! Whoo Hoo!!
I'm always up for a trip to Vegas, so if anyone is headed there sometime before the cruise, let me know, I'd love to meet there.
