August 6, 2005 Mexican Riviera..Who's In?

We were about to fall off of page 1. We can't have Stacey searching for us and not being able to find us.

I guess it's time to do more house packing, I am so tired of it. We have a new settlement date: Sept. 14.
They have installed some of the vinyl flooring and they messed up the upstairs laundry room. It was supposed to be the same as the bathroom down the hall and they installed the same as the kitched - it doesn't match the hall carpeting. Now we have to get them to rip that up and put in the correct floor. also, they didn't have enough to do the powder room on the first floor, but I want that changed out to the same as our master bath. We picked out the flooring 5 months ago, who knew back then what I would want?!? Hopefully we will be able to get both floors changed - then I will be a happy camper ::yes:: .

Oh yes, I remember the days of picking cabinets and countertops and flooring in the freezing cold of the construction unheated. I just wanted to pick anything to get in my nice heated car. I could not picture what things would look like all done. We are slowing changing things room by room now that we have a better vision. We have been here 7 1/2 years and have put on an addition for a Family room with a screen/3 season porch. What you call Settlement date, that must be what we call Closing date? When you sign all the final papers and take possession?

Cathy

My sister just informed me today that she is taking the April 16th 2005 DCL Eastern Caribbean cruise!!! I was booked on that cruise and I changed for this one, I knew she had to go before July to use her DVC points, and I had to go after July because of DD's summer theater play. Just hearing that she is on it I wish I was too... I wish I could do both.

I will call my TA to ask again about the REAS package, thanks for letting me know.

Cathy :)

That's what I mean. Funny, how things in different parts of the country are called different things.

For us the cabinets were easy - we chose the standard, oak cabinets. I bought the pewter-looking Mickey door pulls for all the kitchen cabinets, but I did get one Goofy one just to mix things up a bit. I still need to order the Mickey faucets for the bathrooms, I just have to decide if they are going in all the bathrooms or not - they are pricey but very cute.
We are also going to get a granite countertop for the center island. We will do that after we move in. Can't afford to do the whole kitchen and still go on vacation :teeth: .

Stacey you're home and I'm still dragging us out of the basement - what's up with that?!?
You know I'm only kidding  :teeth: :hyper: .

Well, Missy........I couldn't log on!!!

And the two of you are fired! I saw how many times we hit the basement floor!

Since I'm fired, I think I will go to Disney next week and then you can take over the postings. Oh wait - you will be there too for a few days.

Should I bring my new lap top??
Or will we be too busy to write the folks back home?

Only if you think you can connect to the internet while shopping, eating and drinking?!? :earseek:

Did I mention the shopping, eating and drinking part?!? ::yes::

YOu had to know that the last post was leading to a T.O.P.

She be a princess: pirate: alrighty!

In the basement again.

We were the dummies who tore our house to pieces and totally remodeled in the heat of summer. Of course, the remodel lasted two years........

Barb...I saw the Mickey faucets and t.p. holders, towel bars, etc at that store in Omaha that I told you about. They are too, too cute!! Now I want to remodel again!! Almost.

We call it a closing date out here.

Okay...going to "submit" and see if it goes....this is sooo frustrating!

Stacey

I looked at the towel holder and the rest of the accessories and couldn't justify the cost added to the cost of the faucets. The faucets will be enough $$$. With everything else Disney in the whole house you won't even notice those items missing.
To think.....I was going to make the powder room the only non-Disney room in the house. Now I'm going to have ::MickeyMo faucets, the picture of Walt and Lillian standing on a ship's deck (yes, the one that hangs in the cabin on the ship), another old picture of Walt, and the cute beach pail prints by David Doss. I think I need to go to DA (Disney Annomyous).

::MinnieMo Do you need a DA Sponsor???

This is post # 333 by the way!

 I are such a genius......

I just figgered out we hit the one year mark while we're in WDW!!!

I do, but I don't think you would qualify. I think you have had to have successfully completed the program yourself to be classified a 'sponsor'.

I didn't realize the 1 year mark. I guess we will have to have a toast in that honor. Cathy, we will raise a glass for you as well.

:Pinkbounc I forgot to tell both of you, I booked the REAS package yesterday :Pinkbounc
Now I have to tell DH what I booked  . But that will wait until next year, or when we are on the cruise :teeth: ::yes:: :earseek:
OK Stace, the kids better get along so they can have a sleepover :smooth:

One week from today!

Cathy....you'll have to make a post for us on here when we finally get below the 365 day mark! You have been given an official job to do.

I can't decide on the REAS thing. We have two rooms, so privacy at least, is not an issue. I just can't picture Jay at the spa.

jilljill....your DD is more than welcome to spend the night in the kids' room!! ;)

TTFN,
Stacey

I can't picture me at the spa getting a massage. I had a short one at the GF Spa 2 years ago and I wasn't impressed, along with a pedicure. This could be an experience.
