I wanted to thank everyone for the fabulous fish extender gifts - I have done this on a lot of cruises and can't remember so many gifts that showed so much care and dedication - thanks to everyone!

Sorry about your flight, TVEPFOX! Our flight left on time at 11:35 and we actualy got into LGA early and now I appreciate it even more.

TVEPFOX sorry to hear about your flight and your luggage, what a nightmare!!! We also had an early flight, left MCO at 12 and landed in PHL 15 min early!!!! I'd also like to thank everyone for the fab FE gifts. DH was yelling at me about doing the FE but got into it while we delivered ours. He now wants to join our next cruise's FE!!! We booked 2 cruises onboard, the Aug 18 Med and a dummy date I'll switch to the Dream when dates are finally released. So sad to be home, no chocolate on my pillow last night :-(

Sorry about your luggage TVPEFOX. We were stuck at MCO also during the storm but all else went well- except we're now home and just want to be back on the Magic. It was great meeting the few I had the chance to meet and thanks Cigy, the bracelets were the best!

Would also like to thank everyone that participated in the FE group. This was our first cruise and first FE exchange so we really weren't sure what to expect. My kids LOVED it. They ran to our room every day to check to see what gifts were left. They really were excited about each and every gift they received. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness and creativitiy!! It really added to the magic of our experience. We loved it so much we booked another one while on board -- Christmas 2010 Western Caribbean.

How many booked again?? I have already begun looking at and trying to plan for the next one. The kids thought it was awesome and cannot wait for our next cruise.

Adding my thanks to those that went way above and beyond with the FE gifts. I was amazed at how much effort and thought everyone put into it. Some gifts were truly elaborate! LOVED all the magnets

TVEPFOX, we arrived at the airport and was unloading our luggage just at the time of the biblical floods! DH was soaked getting the luggage unloaded from the trunk of the rental. Good thing there was an overhang where curbside check-in was so our luggage didn't get as soaked as yours did. He was lucky that I threw a t-shirt in our carry on that didn't get packed the night before that he was able to change into at the airport.

Sorry to hear about your flight delay and your soaking luggage. I can see how even a minute in that down pour could have saturated everything. Happened to us in the past, although, not to the extent of yours. Things will always get wet when it rains and it rains a LOT in Florida.

That is why I pack everything in trash bags! I really do! The bags are approximately the size of the luggage. It basically becomes a water proof luggage liner. The ziplocks I started out in just got way too small!! LOL.

My luggage was next to The Bakers at MCO- fortunatly mine was not as bad as Michele's. But Everything was wet, which made unpacking a pain. It will take awhile to get everything dried off and put back, and I have no motivation to do it.

Am hoping that SWA corporate will be more understanding about the wet bags- you would think this airport would have a better system of what to do with luggage when a sudden storm hits.

This was our first cruise and we all had a fabulous time! I miss my housekeeping,and would give anything to send my kids to topsiders to get some dinner!

That's right, it is on the other side of the airport. My DMIL was on the SW flight that left at 1:45 p.m. and we dropped her off before taking the rental van back.

She was there before 10:00 a.m. Boy did she have a long wait

On another note. While rushing to the airport, I got flagged at security because I had a can of sprite in my laptop bag

The guy put on a glove and asked me to come with him. I didn't know if the glove was for my bag or for me

The dryer is still going, DD is in bed, DH is ready to nod off he has to go back to work tomorrow. It's Mommy's quiet time... ahhhh!

After 7 days of fun, I had a few thoughts to share.

First, I want to thank everyone on this thread. The Bakers really enjoyed this cruise because of all of you. We met so many people here it was nice to put a face to the name on Saturday at the meet. OMG, was that totally crazy. I felt like we were dealing drugs not plastic bracelets! A big shout out to Cigy7 for ordering them for us!!! But, Man what were you thinking labeling them? I couldn't read that tiny text drunk! LOL.

There were so many people we did not meet all week! Sharon never saw you, Julie, never saw you. Joe, never saw you, but apologized to your parents for the boom, boom pow!

Mojodisney and our family met the week before in WDW. Monique, Tim and Elizabeth, thanks for making our trip extra special! From the FE's to the pillow case, we have new friends for life. We were so happy to have you as table mates and explore the islands together. Tim keep it stiff (inside joke).

4everluvsdisney, Audrey, Doug and Spencer, we had a blast with them at WDW too. We rented a boat for an afternoon at the WL and made the men drive us around while the ladies enjoyed some cocktails. Audrey has become a blue diamond lover just like me. Merry Christmas (inside joke).

Gotolovedisney, so glad Johnny and Mikayla got to spend time together in the clubs. It was nice to fly home with you until we found our soggy luggage. Oh man is SWA gonna pay!

Racheltori... girl, what can I say?! You hooked a good man in Matt, now reel him in for the ring! And, stay away from lace speedos (inside joke). Remember the bottles, the booze and the blue Christmas balls (inside joke).

Cigy7. Loved Tara, what a good woman for putting up with you. Um, next time hire yourself a Nanny. Mike remember, the Christmas tree goes in the same door it came out (inside joke). Thanks for the drinks at Palo! I thought for sure I was going to get us kicked out laughing so loud!

Thanks to all for the FE's. DD loved everything she got!!!

Having the extra day at sea was very relaxing and well spent. St. Marteen was very expensive, thanks DH (Eric) for all the new blue diamonds! St. Thomas and Megans Bay was paradise. Castaway Cay never long enough.

We rebooked for next August. Dont' know if we'll keep it. We might go with RCCL and come back to Mickey when the new ship comes out.

Hope everyone loved the cruise as much as I did! Whatever family was in 8076 or thereabouts, - the "parents" magnet done in villain persona - brilliant!

That was us! Thanks for noticing. I actually made that for our last cruise because we had two rooms side by side and the boys all stayed in one room with their "names" on their door and I put "The Parents" on our door.

We had a wonderful cruise and met some very nice dis'ers, wish we could have met more.

Thanks Cigy7 for the bracelets, they turned out great and made it easier to start a conversation with someone you already knew had to be from this group.

We had a great cruise - the FE gifts and this thread definitely made it more fun for us - thanks to everyone! Thanks, also, to Waltworshipper for maintaining all of the "lists" and to Cigy7 for the bracelets that caused pandemonium and left crew members scratching their heads when they were being given out! The FE gifts were really great and we truly appreciate all the time and effort everyone put into them (some really went above and beyond )- the kids LOVED everything they received. DH (Brian) is planning our next Disney cruise for for 2011. Hope we cross paths again in Disney or on future cruises!

I too would like to thank everyone for the wonderful gifts we received. We especially loved and appreciated the love and care that went into all the awesome homemade gifts, the magnets, trip journal, picture frame, cds, calendar, bags, and everything else everyone worked so hard on. Everytime we came back to the cabin, something new was in our bags. Hope everyone had as great a time as my family did. If anyone saw the hypnotist show, the big guy up there thinking his hat was talking to him was my stepson and dh was up in the beginning, but never went under. We are patiently waiting for the 2011 trips to come out to rebook, hopefully a Disneyland/Mexican cruise combo for then! Haven't been to Disneyland since the early 80's and a lot has changed, we'll probably do a trip to Disney World again next year.

Glad to hear everyone got home ok with only a few wet incidents...

We left the port and headed north. We stopped in Va. about 9pm and hit the road again about 9 am. My daughter was complaining that she thought vacation was about sleeping in. Silly girl. That's what July and most of August was for. Sheeesh!

We detoured by Washington DC. We couldnt find any parking but we got some great pics of the lincoln memorial, washington monument, and a half picture of the white house.

At about 7pm we walked through our front door and collapsed. Today will be spent grocery shopping and sorting through the bags and getting ready for school tomorrow.

We've decided that the western is waaaaaay better than the eastern. The water was a lot smoother. We loved the excursions and the ports. But I think we're done with cruising for a bit. We want to save our points for a nice week or longer vacation next august at the AK. Maybe get a 2 bedroom and bring some relatives with us...

Thanks to everyone in the FE. They really added something special to the trip! The bookmarks were AWESOME! (my daughter insisted I write that). Everyone's generosity was amazing.

Loved our cruise, but couldn't convince DH to rebook. He's got the next 2 years planned out and another cruise is not in the plans. If only we had won the Bingo jackpot.
