I grew up in Pickering!

I made my FE on the weekend and I have to say it turned out very well! I also made my magnets. It is nice to have theses pre-cruise things to do to keep the excitment up.

I am one of the early birds for everything, online check-in done 90 days out, started getting suitcases out and packing things kids aren't using, reservations all confirmed, and lists for packing made. My DH is a last minute, laid back kind of guy, makes for an interesting life!

Was there any final decision on where and what time we were meeting the first day? On my last cruise, we never scheduled a meet, but we all wore lime green rubber bracelets we ordered from ebay. It made it easier to spot people in our group, even met several in the terminal before we left. They at first were mentioning lime green feather boas, I'm glad they went with the bracelets!

I think that having something that identifies members from the cruise thread is a good idea. It will make it easier to say Hello especially since we don’t know what each other looks like.
Bracelets are a good idea because they are not too intrusive but even having something simple like a green lime ribbon or even a Mickey head pinned to the lanyard or clothing will help with identification. Not sure if the group decided on this

I just read on another thread about cabana massage discounts. The poster didn't reply yet, but I think they offer spa discounts throughout the week on board. But, we're sailing with a "full" ship and I'm not taking any chances of not getting one with DH. I'm surprising him for our anniversary.

Oh, by the way... It's now 34 days!

I read that too- hopefully the discount will apply to us-- any savings helps...more money to put toward the drink of the day!!

The theme of the cruise is "Mickey's So Long Summer". It might be nice to have that printed on them depending on the price. 80 cents each for the lime green is a really good deal (plus s&h). Lime green is the official color of the Disboards.

Do you think 100 is enough or too many?

I bet Waltworshiper would have a better idea based on the FE list.

We are in!! There are 5 of us. I keep learning something new each day on the boards...I did not know our cruise had a theme or about the lime green official color!

That sounds good. The one thing I noticed is that there are 2 sizes. Adult and Youth. I will check back at Waltworshiper's posts for counts. Once I get the count's and we all agree on color,wording,debossed,embossed,color filled or printed I can pull the trigger. Of course Ill order few extra for the last minute planners. Just throwing this out there but the glow in the dark might be a hit with the little ones.

ps My wife thinks I'm a little too excited

My vote is for the adult size. The youth might not all of the adults. CC guests get 2 bracelets as repeat guests. They are adult sized and fit the kids fine. My DH hasn't taken his off in a year. I bet if you search around you could find a picture of one on the boards.

I saw the glow in the dark, it's cool for night but ugly in the day time, kind of a dull looking.

ps, my DH knows I'm nutts, we're all in the same boat! Or should I say getting on the same boat!!

Oh-oh-oh-oh alcohol question, pick me, pick me!

Yes, DCL does drink specials. My fav is 2 for 1 Bahama Mamas on CC at the end of the day! We grab 4 for the walk back to the ship. Walking burns off the calories.

There's always a drink of the day. Buyer beware, disney sells them in a DCL glasses and that can jack up the price. If you want the flavor of the day, but not the glass just ask a waiter to fetch you one. The sail away party is notorious for pushing souvie glasses.

I always find 2 for 1 specials towards the end of the day at the pools. But, I don't know of a certain day/time.

Here's my tip of the day... BYOB. Get some Coke from deck 9 and make rum and coke for FREE! Just make sure you 6 year old DD doesn't get the wrong cup.
