Just checking in. We are going to purchase our FE on Ebay. Sometime next week. That is when we will probably get our gifts also. Sort the last minute type. Does everyone have all their FE and gifts purchased or we the only last minute people in the group??
Is it normal to take you FE in for the night?? Has anyone have or heard of someone's getting taken while on the ship? My wife was thinking that we need to bring it in at night so it does not get taken. Is that normal??

I am going to actually make our FE gifts after the final deadline has passed, so that I know I am making enough for everyone -- but I have everything I need to make them so it won't take more than a few days.

This is our 7th cruise and I have never had an FE stolen or heard of it - until I read the post just above about the one that was almost stolen! Ours is personalized, so no one would take it to keep, but I guess someone could think it was "funny" to relocate it.

Congrats on snagging that Palo ressie racheltatt!

We've never had a problem with door magnets or FE's going missing. I do take most everything down before going to bed that last night, as that seems to be when a lot of the mischief takes place, but the rest of the week it stays out.

I'm waiting until the final cut-off to work on FE gifts as well. At least that's the excuse I'm using now... I may have to come up with something else once the final list is posted.

I definitely tend to be a last minute kind of gal. Don't know how I ended up on the Dis with all the OCDP's

Sheesh, I still have to finalize our air and hotel ressies. I'm sure some of you have had all that done for ages.

Thankfully I grabbed a rental car awhile ago though. I went in to see how much it would cost to add a day or two... Wow, talk about crazy high prices! Guess I'll leave it alone and come up with a plan B if we're able to make it to Orlando early.

Put me in the "waiting til the last minute" crew. I haven't even bought my FEGift supplies yet! Or made the FE yet... Better get on that...

I am waiting til next month to get a nice dress because I've just lost 18 lbs and are hoping to shed a few more so I can have fun with the shopping! I'm going to go tomorrow and get some "casual" stuff before all the summer stuff goes away (hopefully, lol).

Thanks for reminding me about the online check in, I will get on that tomorrow for sure!

We made a fish extender for another family on the board and have a great idea for a black and white one with a steamboat willie theme, if you were interested in buying one from us we would be glad to make one for $25. I posted a picture of the one we made for another family a few pages back I can't find it right now the boards are loading really slow. Let me know if you are interested! We could customize for another theme if you had something in mind.

This is our first DCL and our first FE. I can't finish our FE right now because my sewing machine is hopefully being repaired. We have ordered the gifts for the kids, but have to still finish making the adult ones. We will ziptie our FE just to make sure we don't lose it.

I am one of the early birds for everything, online check-in done 90 days out, started getting suitcases out and packing things kids aren't using, reservations all confirmed, and lists for packing made. My DH is a last minute, laid back kind of guy, makes for an interesting life!

Was there any final decision on where and what time we were meeting the first day? On my last cruise, we never scheduled a meet, but we all wore lime green rubber bracelets we ordered from ebay. It made it easier to spot people in our group, even met several in the terminal before we left. They at first were mentioning lime green feather boas, I'm glad they went with the bracelets!

Just checked on the DCL website and we have been assigned cabin #2552. We didn't get an upgrade but I am pleased with the location as we were in the same spot but on the other side of the ship on our cruise in May.
Also, I like the new DCL website. I find it much easier to navigate.

Where do you all buy your pirate garb? Do you get it at WDW or is there someplace on-line that is cheaper?

If you go online and google "pirate costumes" you will come up with a huge array of possibilities (and prices!).

Looks like the gty's got their room assignments today! I updated the list on p 86 post 1278, there are still 2 more gty rooms out there, once they check in with me, I will post the updated list again, then, unless someone else joins, I will not post it until Aug 9th for the final time.
