Lots of kids seem to be looking for e-mail pals.

I have 2 DDs - 8 and 10. If anyone's kids wants to e-mail them, PM me and I'll give you their e-mails.

They aren't on the internet all that much but do check e-mail a few times a week and alas it is usually empty. LOL.

Almost time to cruise!!

I know my daughter would love it. She enjoys emailing. However, she doesn't know yet. If and when she does learn of the cruise... I'll be sure to let you know. She's 8, almost 9.

I'm in Nebraska, which is why I haven't been posting. I'd like to e-mail some 12 or 13 year old girls before the cruise and wanted to know what a PM was and how to send one. If any 12 or 13 year old girl would like to e-mail me, just post a post.

It is a private message. Most people do not want to put their email accounts out on the boards, as unfortunately in this society, you never know who is lurking, especially for our younger people. Hopefully, not so much on these boards, as it is mostly adults here, but you never know. The private message is seen only by the person you send it to, if you get one it will show up top on the right below your screen name. As long as you have more than 10 posts on this board, you are able to pm someone. Usually, the kids parents will pm their email if their kids are interested in writing to someone else. I will send you a hi in one so you can see what it is, once in there all you need is someone's screen name and you can pm them too.

This may not be the thread to ask this but I couldn't find the info any where else.Since we are on this cruise I thought I would ask here We are staying on deck 8 and I noticed there are no inside staterooms on that deck. I was wondering what the center of the deck is. Is it just a hallway or does it look down onto something??

Just checking in. We are going to purchase our FE on Ebay. Sometime next week. That is when we will probably get our gifts also. Sort the last minute type. Does everyone have all their FE and gifts purchased or we the only last minute people in the group??
Is it normal to take you FE in for the night?? Has anyone have or heard of someone's getting taken while on the ship? My wife was thinking that we need to bring it in at night so it does not get taken. Is that normal??

It is just hallway, doesn't look down on anything. There are various crew areas scattered in that area, other than that, there isn't anything.

If you're talking to me, we're not staying at BLT until Spring Break 2010. BLT isn't even open yet, it opens up the beginning of August.

I was thinking of delivering around 2 am after a few cocktails. I just let myself in to deliver yours LOL

Mine was almost taken on the last cruise by three 12-14 yo boys out for mischief. I was luckily in my cabin at the time and heard them, yes I did have a zip tie on it, just not tight, so they slid it down and pulled it over the fish. I opened my door and asked where it was, they of course played dumb, then one pointed to another door down the hall they had hung it off of. I told them they better start running, because if I saw them again, I would turn them in, they did! Of course what they didn't know was I didn't have on my glasses, so they could have sat at the table next to us at dinner and I'd have never known. I am including zip ties for everyone in the FE bags I am giving out, just in case anyone forgets, and I will be putting mine on a little tighter this trip! I did have a lot of magnets on my door, and no one bothered those the whole trip. You don't see many posts about the FE being stolen, so I think mine was an isolated event, depending on the crowd on the ship.

I just went on the DCL website to see if we had a room number assigned yet--no such luck. I did however, check on Palo reservations and was able to snag one. Last few times I checked they had nothing available because we had booked the cruise so late. Just thought I would mention in case anyone else in same situation

After you read this scroll all the way to the top of the page and look on the right just under the Dreams Unlimited banner. Mine is in a yellow box, it says your disname, when you last visited, then Private Message. You should see a 1 where it says unread, as I sent one to you so you could see what it looks like. Click there and a drop down box will say read private message, click on that and the message will pop up for you.

Since the pools are in the middle of deck 9 and they go down for depth, I would imagine that they take up most of this space

Good point Joe.... I never thought of that. Though in the aft the mickey pool has no depth, so that's still a mystery....
