I cruised on the Fantasy the end of August 2012. We had perfect weather but we were following a hurricane. We all thought we would have a change in itinerary leading up to the cruise, but the captain steered clear. It was quite humid in the Caribbean though. Honestly, it could go either way.

You are going to love the longer cruises. They are ever so relaxing and fun - there is only one thing that is not good - they are too short. This is the reason that this cruise is the second leg of a back to back for us.

Has anyone ever cruised this time of year? A little nervous about storms lol

We have been through several storms, as we always sail late August into early September, due to my school holidays.
They sail very nicely around storms and only once did we have rougher seas and rain as it was a very big hurricane and we could not get out of its reach completely. That year we missed CC because the storm had gone through the day before. We went back to Nassau for a day instead.
Again, this was another back to back and the biggest problem was that people did not make it to the port, because A LOT of flights had been cancelled.

Another August 29th family on deck 7!!! 7606 We just booked while on the Fantasy last week. This will be our 3rd dcl vacation and all 3 on the Fantasy. My kids will be 14 and almost 12 on this cruise. I have a friend with kids that will be 14 and almost 11 considering it as well. Not sure about doing FE yet, my kids want to but I;m still debating. I'm a chronic over packer and don't know if I will have the room lol!!!

Hello everyone! We booked this cruise as an OBB when we were on the Fantasy in May. This will be our 4th cruise and the first time we have cruised in August. DD will be 14 and DS will be 12.

Yes, I know it will still take a while until they release the prices for summer 2015. I am waiting for our DVC window to open - which is still quite a while away.
We just stayed at the Villas at the Grand Floridian in February and loved it. Beautiful place!
Will this be your first visit to WDW?

We are going to be celebrating my daughters "Sweet 16" onboard.

I am going to attempt to get something organized with the Vibe to throw her a small party at some point during the cruise.

We aren't going to have many of her own hometown friends with us. We are probably going to bring 2 friends with us.

Just so everyone knows... I have designed "Specialty" T-Shirts for the last 5 cruises we have been on. I am more than willing to take the lead on organizing the Fish Extenders, the Meet n Greet, and the Shirts.

Welcome.. Most of the things that you have listed have already been taken care of.. (Fe's and possibly Meet and Greet.) A lot of us signed up in March when the cruise date came out so we already started those back then.. Thanks for the offer though...

Hello one and all!! We just came back from the August 30th cruise to Jamaica on the Fantasy!! Had a superb time!!! Booked this cruise while on board. I would love to join the FE group as well. This will be our 7th Disney Cruise. Traveling will be Myself (Gina),DH (Carl),DS (TyriQue/age 13). We are thinking about adding our Grand daughter (Cheyanne/age 5). Our stateroom # is 9164. checking in for the second half of our back to back girls week out cruise... (well we've extended it a little) I see some familiar handles .... so excited to be cruising with you guys again!!!

So it'll be myself, Grammy and my now 13 year old jkid.... we just got off the dream for a back 2 back 2 back.... In late august.... we had such a great time we decided we wanted more time on the ship.... sign us up for the FE..... The creativity of the FE group never stops amazing me....
