We booked on Thursday last week and I have been desperately stalking theses threads for our cruise to appear :surf web:

My hubby suggested that rather than waiting and hoping I should start one myself so here it is

This is our first ever Disney Cruise and we can't wait

Our party consists of

Myself Emma DH Glenn and our DD 13, DD 18
Our friends Vici and Shaun and their DD 6

We would be interested in doing a Fish Extender Group if anyone is interested in joining us.

We were on the Fantasy Eastern in 2013 and the Magic Med in 2011.

Welcome to the thread and apologies if I railroaded your thread I looked but couldn't see one anywhere for this cruise so decided to start one!

You are lucky getting to double dip we'll be going back to WDW on the 31st though hopefully to stay at Bay Lake Tower if our 7month DVC booking window works out for us so it isn't all bad.

We'll be looking to you for advice over the coming months as the most experienced cruiser to date in the thread

Thanks Emma. No problem about the thread. I'm just glad it is started! We joined a FE group for our Fantasy cruise last summer and our kids loved doing it! I'm sure we'll do it again this time.

Just booked this as well. It will be myself, DH, and our DGS. I organized our last FE gift exchange and would be happy to do so again. From past experience it is a little early to get the FE started since there can be a whole lot of changes with people canceling and booking a different date.

For those of you who have never done an FE exchange here are the basics:

1. The group is usually 20 staterooms. On our last cruise we had 2 separate groups going, 1 with 20 cabins and 1 with 10 cabins. Some people only wanted to participate in a small group. You could join both groups if you wanted. Depending on the amount of interest you could have 3-4
different groups participating.

2. The rules are simple, 1 gift per stateroom delivered sometime during the cruise. (This is where the fish extender comes in. The gifts were placed in the pockets of the fish extender). There is no dollar limit set, you chose the dollar amount you were comfortable with. Extra gifts are all optional. (For example I gave each cabin a family gift, each adult a gift, and the kids got 3-4 gifts each). I tend to go a little crazy. Some people like to give a gift from where they are from.

3. Be sure to add your DISname to the gift somewhere so participants know who it is from.

4. The FE is usually closed about 30 days prior to sailing to give everyone enough time to finish their gifts.

And that is it basically.

I'm so sorry for my slow reply! I believe that my hubby was having an inbox tidy up and I didn't get to see my thread notifications

I would definitely be interested in participating in the FE group and would love if you would organise it :good vibes I already have my eye on a Fish Extender on ebay to purchase in the near future! I can't weak for her but I'm pretty sure cupcake fairy would be in as well.

Our dates won't change as we are coming from the UK and we have flights booked and so on that associate with this cruise. The same goes for cupcake fairy I know this because she is travelling with us

After careful deliberation with my family we would like to step up and offer our services in the organisation of the FE list

Agree we should start the official list in August to allow cruise changes so until then

Hope that's Ok with everyone don't want to step on any toes so to speak
