August 28, 2004 "LOST AT SEA" Cruise

Darlene:

Our prayers are with you and Stan. I know everything is going to be ok.

Anytime you need a sanity break we are here.

Lyn

I'd love to meet up with all of you in Atlantic City. It would depend on if we could get down there on that particular weekend though. I don't gamble at all, John gambles a little, but it'd be fun to see all of you again. :)

Mary Rose: We're still meeting at Peter Pank next month, right?? :)

Joanna and Doreen: I have to say that I think our cruise definitely was "official". ::yes:: We were there on the Disney Magic for 10 nights in a row. Nothing unofficial about that ;)

Still waiting for DCL's rates and dates for 2006 to come out....:rolleyes1

Hey Terry we sure are still on for the Peter Pank next month!! :teeth:

I hear from the main cruise page that 2006 rates will be released tomorrow with a special western itinerary. Stay tuned....

OOOOOOHHHHH Do you think Costa Maya? What's so new about that LOL

Thank you, everyone, for keeping Stan in your prayers. It means a great deal to us. Hopefully surgery will take place as scheduled tomorrow and he can start the healing process.

Joanna - the hotel/casino that starts with a "B" is Borgata. It is only about a year old. I have never been there but it is supposed to be very nice. I don't gamble but I would love to get together with anyone who can make it. Do they really have "free" drinks?

Somebody let me know when the 2006 dates and rates come out. I haven't gotten any docs from DCL on our bogus dated cruise.

Good night.
Darlene

Thats it the Borgata.

2006 dates come out tomorrow. They are saying a new itinerary western itinerary. 2 stops at Castaway cay and Cozumel and costa maya.

Good Luck tomorrow

Joanna

I just spoke with my TA at MouseEars Vacations who booked our 8/28 cruise. She is saying that we are still entitled to the 10%/$200 onboard credit offer and is looking into it. If so, we are going to book a 2006 cruise for either Memorial Day week or 4th of July.

Whatever happened to the "reunion" cruise -- was a date or month ever decided on?

Wow, I didn't know that they were still offering us Aug 28th cruisers the discount and onboard credit. Let us know if your TA is able to get that for you!

I know that a lot of us are looking at the August 2006 rates and dates. Doreen has booked for August 19th, which is the new "special western" itinerary. I'm currently trying to talk my husband into booking that, too. lol

The only problem with the "new" itinerary is that -- as much as we love CC -- I'd rather have an additional port than an additional day at CC. It looks like they took away Key West and added the extra CC day. I've got my TA checking on the Eastern and Western itineraries for May and June to see if they have added any ports or changes to those.

Also, since we are also sailing for two weeks next August, I think maybe we might want to give August a rest for 2006 and try a different month.

I'll let you know what I find out.

Come on TERRY talk him into it. We booked that because of all the praise Costa MAYA got.. COME ON, you know you want that verandah room again,,lol..

DOREEN

I agree with Doreen -- Costa Maya was the highlight of our trip. I wonder if Disney added it because of all the praise many of us gave it on our comment cards. Plus -- I read on here recently that Disney does check this board and I know there have been voluminous postings about that port.

Doreen -- would it be out of line for me to ask what price you were quoted? There's four of you, right? Just curious. If you want, PM me with the answer.

Doreen,

Devin and I will be up on deck 7 for the Aug 19th cruise. (I just changed my reservations.)

Terry,

Come on! Twist his arm if you have to. The more the merrier!

Who else is going? Is it time to start a new thread yet?

This might be my last hope, Ginny! I spoke to John a little while ago during his lunch break and he's still saying we shouldn't book it yet. :( I didn't know we could still get the 10% AND $200 room credit. I'll have to call him back at work and see if this makes any difference to him. LOL

OMG! John said to go ahead and book it, if it means me stopping bugging him about it! LOL I just called All Seasons so they can call Disney and find out about the discount and credit. Ginny, if they give All Seasons a hard time, do you think you could give me your last name, so they could reference your booking?? The woman at All Seasons didn't anticipate a problem, but I'm just hoping that the CM she speaks to knows about it.

Hey Ginny:

I just sent you an email. A supervisor at DCL told Sandra at All Seasons that they need proof that you got the discount, or else they won't give us the discount. What a pain :( Please email me back after you read the email I sent to you, ok? thanks!!

We talked to DENNIS who is a supervisor at DCL this AM about the 10% off. We told them we were told 25% off,, but it didn't fly..lol. Tell them that DONNA was busy the last day of the cruise and was not opened very long.. and this was the incentive they gave us to rebook and we were told we can rebook when the dates came out...
ANd thus today is the day!!

GOOD LUCK..
see you on board
