Hey everyone! We are cruising on the Dream celebrating our first Anniversary on 8/26! :) We were married on the Dream last year during Hurricane Irene, so we are hoping this trip is a little less adventurous, lol...

We were lucky enough to snag a Family Cabana - hopefully good karma since our Couples massage that we planned last year was not to be since we could not dock at Castaway Cay :( It is a bit pricey, but we are looking at this as Honeymoon II and we actually like to just sit and relax while the kiddos (14 and 12) are off doing their thing.

As luck would also have it, our friends from Austria (dizneeat) will also be on the same cruise as us again! Hopefully we will have more opportunities to meet up without all the craziness of the wedding festivities :D

Welcome, though this thread is for the August 25 Fantasy Eastern 7 night. No one except for the first few to book, got cabanas. The rest of us, who could not book until later have yet to snag one that I know of. We are commiserating one page back. Oh, and happy anniversary! What a great way to Honeymoon again.

I know right...that $500 could be used towards another cruise

I know! but not having done it, I want to try something different someday. We usually do an excursion (jet ski) and cabana massages, so I probably already spend almost that amount anyway.
:beach:

:scratchin LOL, I just realized that! Been a while since I've posted - the date threw me  Well, sorry no one was able to get a cabana on yours - perhaps someone will get dusted with some last minute luck...

I better go find my own cruise now :wave2:

No problem at all! I always like to read happy entries. And I am looking forward to CC, cabana or not.:beach: Though for the cost, it would not be a big priority for me. Guess I will check them out if I get the chance.

Here's to a great late summer cruise to all!! pixiedust:

Ok, we were buried all the way back on page three. Can't have that!! Starting to think about the end of summer clearance sales for cruise clothing! Woo Hoo!

This will be our first trip back after the renovations to the island. What does anyone know about Pelican Plunge? I can't seem to find an updated map. Where is it located? And there was another splashy thingee...Thanks!

We were there last year and, although we were quite excited, the kids were not that thrilled with the Pelican Plunge. They went through a few times and then we went back to the beach to snorkel. When I asked if they wanted to go back. They both just said, "No, not really...". :confused3And this is coming from my children who can spend hours in one section of Typhoon Lagoon. They are quite easy to entertain.

So I think Pelican Plunge area is fun for a bit, but not something you can spend all day doing. At least that's how we felt.

And someone posted a map a while back. I'm not sure where it is. I'm sure someone can post if for you. But it's not too far from the Family area.

We got off the tram at the second stop on CC last summer. There were more chairs available and Cookies 2 was nice.

It was nice to see our MDR servers on the island as well as the Head server:) We had fun conversations with them as they seemed more relaxed off the ship:thumbsup2

OK...so we booked this trip over a year ago, and I have been driving my husband crazy ever since :). I think that now that we are only 6 weeks out, he is finally getting excited !!! I am wondering if we are going to split into 2 groups...I started picking up things last year, and now I am having trouble finding the same pieces. Just want to know so I can keep looking or come up with something different. Also want to start bagging so I can figure out to pack or ship. Thanks, can't wait !!!!

It is raining here in Philly today so we are currently watching the dcl dvd that came in the mail this week:thumbsup2

I am about to get into the exciting part of my summer:banana:

On Monday, I will be going to Dallas, TX for a week:)

Two weeks later, we will be going to St. Lucia for a week:goodvibes

Finally, two weeks later we will be cruising on the Fantasy:cool1:

Sounds like your wait for the cruise is going to fly by! :cool1:

Only saw rain early this AM, but overcast at times all day.

Wow, what a busy summer for you and family!

Have a great time in St. Lucia, safe travels each trip.

We had rain on Wednesday and Thursday in the Long Beach, CA area. It was nice, not hot and not cool. Sun is shining today.

Since we have a lot of girls in the 7-8 age range, I thought I would ask: I'm looking for the Disney Store Rapunzel wedding dress, size M or 7. If anyone has one to sell, or know of a great deal, please let me know. I don't need it for the cruise, but for the Halloween event at Disneyland in early October. Thanks! We should plan a get together with all the girls. Anyone want to have a slumber party (at YOUR place)?:rotfl2:

I think we have decided to stay as one big group but remember one gift per family is expected, more than that is fine but is the exception not the rule.
Remember the KISS Rule, Keep It Simple Sweetheart (actually not what the S stands for but I thought I would pretty it up a bit :))

Woot! We have ordered everything for our FE gifts!

It's hard to believe how soon we'll all be underway!

Are we going to have a get together on board?

Yeah! We too just ordered FE items!

Getting excited!

I think Pudo said maybe all us Disers would meet somewhere around 3 pm, the first day. Not sure where or if that is really set.

Overcast day, muggy too. Hope we get beautiful sunny weather on the cruise, and during our stay in the Parks.

Are we going to have a get together on board?

Yes. Around 3, location yet to be determined. I also proposed a group photo on the atrium staircase, Pirate night around 7:30 usually is a good time. Shutters charges around $75 for a "sitting" fee.

On our way to Sesame Place today. Visited Busch Gardens/Water Country over July 4th, bought a 2 year Platinum pass. For those who don't know Sesame is part of the Busch park family.
