So this year to save money, we had decided to drive down. This is not ideal for our youngest, but with flights so high, what can you do. Then last month my husband had to fly to San Diego for work. Due to a small voluntary delay, he scored us $455 in SW flight vouchers. Still though, it was too much...until today. We scored round trip tickets for our family of 4 for $470, applied vouchers, and our cost was less than $20 pp round trip! So excited! Now we just have to figure out where to stay Friday night and how to get to the port....

A-ma-zing! Did you see my earlier post, about prices going up by $80 today, when I'm ready to book.:worried: WTH! We are staying at the Hyatt Place and DisneyGirlTinkerbell has an awesome deal on a ride for your family. We can all ride in style together!:wave2:

that's awesome!!!

Just wondering if anyone was lucky enough to rent one of the Castaway Cay Private Cabanas? When we checked they were all sold out. Although for the cost :scared1: we wouldn't of booked it anyway for just 2 people.

They were sold out quite awhile ago, I believe. Next cruise I'm doing concierge and definitely getting one!!!

Ok, so 37 families, and what is the total head count?! Thanks!!

Although I did my own head count using Pudo's spread sheet, I'm not sure it would be helpful to you, since I broke it down by ages. I'm likely going to give the same gift to girls over 15 that I give to the adult women, so my count isn't a general male/female, under 21/over 21 type of count.

I would suggest you take a look a Pudo's spreed sheet and then count the people in a way that makes sense to you based upon what you were thinking of doing for FE gifts.

I thought I had a head count of 136 total people (including the baby), broken down into 60 kids, 36 girls, 24 boys. Kids counted as up to and including those identified as 21 or younger (all the way down to 6m old). Only kid age I don't know is Phillysfans' DS Aiden and I don't know Susieark's DS Andrew's like character/s though at 21, he may not have one. :)

we were at 132 before we added. I will go back and count. Thanks! ;)

Today I was thinking about how this cruise will mark the end of our summer vacation and then it hit me:scared1:

Before we go, I have to order school uniforms and get all of our school supplies:(

I KNOW! :crazy2: I was just thinking last night about that, plus I have to plan both of my girls a birthday party, plus my friend is getting married in 3 weeks, plus my oldest will have 2 gymnastics meets before we go.... :confused3 Not sure what I was thinking when we booked this trip... OH WELL!!! It'll all be better once on board.. :beach:

Yeah, no kidding! I was in Target today and saw all the school stuff, and thought..oh my goodness! I have to get all that ready before the cruise!

Hi folks,

Wanted to check in and let you know that my Aidan is 7. We're so excited :goodvibes and hope there will be other boys his age to hang out with.

Thanks,

Diana

Ack! I didn't even think of this. The kids start school four days after we return, so I guess now in addition to packing for the crusie, I'm going to have to get all that done before we leave!

Ugh. I know! Every store already has fall items out and school sales! No uniforms for us, but a book report due the first day.

But excitement about the cruise is building!

I'll never understand it....our stores had school supplies out before the 4th of July. School had only been out for a little more than 2 weeks! It's ridiculous!!
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3: confused3

That is actually one of the reasons why I am never in a hurry for the cruise to get her. It's a double edged sword, on one hand you're anxious for the cruise, but when it's over it's time for school and work.

Enjoy the Summer, the cruise will be here before you know it.

I never got the appeal of the cabanas. You get off the ship around 9 AM and you head back around 4 PM. Most of that time is spent on the beach, swimming, eating at Cookies BBQ, maybe an excursion, playing on Pelican Plunge or running around Spring-A-Leak so maybe out of the 7 hours I might spend an hour at most in the cabana. $500 for that hour doesn't make sense to me, but hey that's just me. :goodvibes

I know right...that $500 could be used towards another cruise
