Just booked on Monday, I love doing these last minute vacations!
I'm so excited as this is my DH first Disney cruise experience, we are bringing our 8 year old granddaughter (her 2nd DC)! I know this is crazy but we are celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary on 8/25...everyone thought it was silly to bring our GD but we are emptynesters and are with each other 24/7 so having Gigi with us gives us joy! We actually got dinner reservations for the first night to celebrate and I know from the last Disney cruise I took my GD on we had a lot of free time. Anyone else here in their mid-50"s that are bringing their grandchildren?

Can I have you as my son's grandparent??!! Love seeing kids on vacations with their grandparents, even though it makes me sad that DS got the short end of the stick when it comes to grandparents. I just take solace in knowing that his kids will have AWESOME grandparents! LOL Happy Anniversary! Have a great cruise!!

Woo Hoo, four weeks from today we will be sitting in the terminal right now waiting to board!! Now...if before then, someone wants to give up their cabana, that would be AWESOME! I'll even pay a premium! :) Just trying to figure out how early is too early to get the suitcases out!

I was lucky enough to visit St. Lucia for the first time on the 10-Day Southern on the Wonder. It was beautiful! We did the Brig Unicorn trip (tall ship used in for Pirates of the Caribbean-Curse of the Black Pearl). Great excursion! We did it during the day, due to our all-aboard time, but if you can, I hear the sunset sailing is just gorgeous.

My family is getting ready to go to St. Lucia next week but everyone is only talking about the cruise:confused3[/QUOTE

I will be celebrating my 52nd just five days before we sail...DB will turn 50 on the ship...no kids this time, but I look forward to meeting you!

So every couple of months I have this temporary lapse of reason and log onto FB. I attempt to do something productive like upload a photo or video, it doesn't work, I bang my head, and sware I will never go on FB again. Today was another one of those moments.

Thanks:thumbsup2 We have only picked one excursion so far. I think that it involves ziplining:confused3

We may do others depending on how the weather holds up. This is there rainy season.

Sorry, no formal group, although if you want to have a party your GD will have lots of company. Just looking over the list from this group, there are so many girls within the same age range. Very fun.:grouphug:

:welcome: No kids or grandkids by I am late 50s and DH is late 60s, but you would never know it by the way he acts like a kid.:goodvibes

Come on you two...FB can be your friend! I will be posting throughout our cruise. I'm holding "FB 101" each day of our cruise in the Internet Cafe (not sure what it's called on the Fantasy). Let's plan to meet each morning...I'll have you all FB savvy before the cruise is over...I promise! Social media is a big part of my job and I have embraced the go side and avoided the bad. It'll be fun before you know it and you'll be wondering how you stayed connected without it!

When I was a kid my parents would tell me to stop watching TV and go outside and play. The TV was called the “B o o b Tube” since it made B o o b s out of those who catatonically stared at it endlessly. Hindsight being 20/20, my parent s could not have been more right.

FB is the present day B o o b Tube and our greatest distraction from what we should be doing. As much as I think that FB is our greatest time waster there are moments like now when meeting nice folks like yourself via FB would be fun.

My daughter is currently going to Girl Scout camp, she is having a blast. The camp posts pictures on the Internet, and of course to my dismay, they use FB so I reluctantly log on to view the photos.

I do appreciate the offer for a FB 101 class, but FB is an “unproductivity tool” (made that word up) so I don’t really have any interest.

Funny as I tried to post this message I find that the word "B o o b" is sensored by this forum so I had to separate the letters.
