Hi All!

Wow was I ever excited to see this thread!

I'll be cruising with my wife and 2 year old daughter, Jenna. This will be our first cruise.

I just noticed that they assigned us stateroom 10004. I did a little reading, and apprently, there is some sort of an overhang from the 11th deck that would block out alot of the sun on that room.. Anyone familiar with this or can confirm? I couldn't find any reviews, but because this is our first cruise I want everything to go perfect so that we can do it all over again!

Questions:
1) Should I be concerned with 10004?
2) Are we able to change the stateroom if we call in? I noticed online there's some sort of a fluke that doesnt show you available rooms.
3) How would I know if this side of the ship would show me the port view or ocean view during docking or sailing in Orlando and castaway or nassau?

Thanks, much appreciated and looking forwars to the day!!!

I thought I signed up already. Good thing I checked this morning.

Could you please add us to the FE list:

room9158
Michelle
Larry
Samantha-14
Michael-13
Alex-11

Thank you for organizing this. It sounds like great fun. My kids are excited about participating!!!!!!!

:welcome: to the DISboards and :welcome: to the August 25 sailing of the Disney DREAM.

I am very sorry I am not much help with your questions.
The only thing is that I do not think it is a fluke that it is not showing any available staterooms, I rather guess the cruise is sold out.
Looking at a deckplan 10004 is very far forward and it appears that you will be on the "ocean" side leaving Port Canaveral. For the other ports it will depend on if the ship "backs in" or not. I would not worry about the view too much - there is TOO much to do and see on that ship anyway.

FE LIST

Please check if all the info is correct!!!!! ........ and remember that July 15 is the cutoff date for joining the FE exchange!

Karin and Tom,

Thank you for organizing this FE! I was checking in to see if there was a deadline for other people to join--found it July 15th! Perfect! I am starting to get our gifts together since we are leaving home a week before the cruise so I really needed a final number! Thanks again!

You are very welcome!
We are already working on our FE gifts as we are leaving Austria August 13!!
Just found out that you will be on the next B2B as well! See you there!:goodvibes

Fish Extender is now officially closed!

Please everyone, if you haven't checked for spelling mistakes or other wrong information, do so soon and let me know.

Tom will now get to work on a deckplan with the participants staterooms noted. I will post a link here and you can download and print the plans.

On a sidenote - we leave here in 4 weeks exactly and I received our cruise paperwork yesterday! :woohoo:

Karin and Tom,

We just want to thank you in advance for all of your hard work.....We’re sure putting this FE list together takes up a lot of your time.

We look forward to meeting everyone on board! :cool1:

Anyone in town the weekend before we cruise? Was thinking it would be fun to meet up for dinner or a drink by the pool that Saturday before the first leg of some B2B cruisers. Let me know of any interest and if not, we'll catch you Dreamin!

We got our cruise documents!!'!!!!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We still haven't told my daughter that we are cruising!!!!!!!!

But we are making more and more slips the closer we get to the cruise :goodvibes

We are hoping she doesn't figure it out before we tell her.........

I have an idea or two about what i'm gonna do for the fish extender gifts but then i also want to do something creative and I'm coming across a blank slate .... Anyone got any ideas they are not using or a website they "borrowed" some ideas from?

Congrats to all those that finally got stateroom numbers - the wait has been long but then it's all worth it in the end :rotfl2:

Enjoy the heat wave- stay cool drink lots of water and hope to see you all soon!

Received our cruise documents yesterday!! Thank goodness it wasn"t just a wonderful dream. It's ACTUAL!!!!!!:cloud9:
Can't wait to meet everyone. We are dying of the heat here on Long island.
Hopefully it won't be like this when we get to Florida!!:cool2:
Also, finalized our after cruise accomodations. We swapped Vero Beach for OKW. :beach:

:woohoo: getting the documents is wonderful! Makes it feel so much more real!

As for ideas - there is a whole thread with homemade FE gifts - you can use this link http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980639&page=164
I picked up a few ideas from them! :thumbsup2

Our stateroom number is 5168 for this cruise.

Thank for updating the info Dizneeat

I updated your info. :goodvibes Are you on the Aug 28 - Sept 1 one as well?

:woohoo: Cruise documents! I received our pre stay documents as well today! It feels so much more real having everything in hand, printed on paper! :dance3:

And this is where it gets confused for a non native speaker. Where ARE you staying now? Vero Beach or OKW? :rotfl2:

Cruise docs are here for both cruises!:cool1:

Just boxed up the FE things for the first cruise so I can ship ahead of time!:cool1:

Karin--Toniann966 had booked Vero and changed to OKW I think, at least that's my understanding--and I am a native English speaker!:lmao:

We leave in less than a month! August 21-25 at AKV--Kidani, then August 25-September 1st onboard the Dream!:cool1:

Now I just need to get my FE gifts done for the second leg of the cruise!

Travel Docs in hand feels terrific doesn't it? Ours came last week and since we live at different addresses we had six visits from FedEx! :rotfl2:

Well, that's how I understood Toniann966 in the first place, then I started thinking ....... non native speakers problem! :rotfl2:

We have to put the finishing touches on our FE gifts, but most of them are done - it was quite a task to do for three cruises and lots of participants on all three, but whom do I tell! ;)

Like you, we are counting down the days! We leave in three weeks from tomorrow and I CANNOT wait! :yay:

we'll be at Kidani as well, 8/20-8/25!

:rotfl2:Sorry let me clarify. We were originally booked for Vero Beach, but I love being in the heart of Disney, so I switched to OKW. We are leaving (driving):drive: from NY on the 20th, will arrive on the 21st where we will be starting our vacation at Bonnet creek. board the dream on the 25th, and end up our vacation at OKW on the 28th.
We are still assembling things for the FE. My kids are so creative.
They are helping me make our family fish extender.

Thanks for clearing it up for me! How long are you going to stay at OKW? We are returning there on Sept 1st!

I cannot imagine trying to do FE gifts for 3 cruises! I am working on only 2! I have lots of ideas, but my ideas usually come with a big price tag!:lmao: DH would agree! I've been known to go shopping for a lamp and come home with a whole new set of furniture!

Soooo....I have some ideas that won't break the bank and now I am in the process of deciding if I want to get the things here or pick them up when we get to Florida (save on shipping and packing). Decisions, Decisions!:rotfl:
