August 24th ???

Okay, I booked the "Bounceback" free dining last September and the start date for it was August 30th, where did the 24th come into play? When it was booked, I attempted an arrival date on August 29th and was told by the CM that it did not start until August 30th.

Bounceback and General Public free dining are two seperate and distinct promotions. The dates don't have to (and usually don't) match.

UK residents apparently have been booked for free dining since fall of 07...I read that their free dining dates start August 10th, 2008!

That would be nice, August 10th!!!!! Or better yet, coincide with Disney Wonderful Weeks of Summer..August 12th!!! All different dates...All marketing "gimmicks"

Bingo - they are DIFFERENT promos and DIFFERENT gimmicks.

I had been saying this for the last couple of months on the Free Dining speculation threads - "don't assume that it will start the same day as Bounceback".

However, a number of people were absolutely convinced that if it was offered again, it wouldn't start until Aug. 30th because it HAD to be shorter than the Bounceback offer.

There was even the announcement on mousemisers with dates identical to Bounceback - even though it was admitted on that website that the dates were a speculation - people took it as credible.
