I searched and didn't see one posted but if this is a dupe please close it. Curious if any had any luck getting anything close to a normal rate on a car and if so how? Best I have is 8 days for $450 but it's at the CCC through Enterprise. Best I can get at MCO is $650. If there was a code or site you had some luck with please share. Mine is through Costco.

Best I've gotten so far is $507 for intermediate, Dollar, through Priceline for 5 days. Used Autoslash to find that rate. They had cheaper rates for Fox and one other place you have to take a shuttle to but I don't like doing that.

Yeah, I have National emerald aisle for $505.00 for a week. Tried Alamo more than a few times, just gets higher in price, even using my Costco code and free upgrade, as running almost 70 dollars more. I think compared to last year, paying three times the rate this year. I guess demand and not as many cars available, as saw both said only serving side A, where as normally, they would have had tons of cars in both A. and B.

Have not used National in a long time, but have membership with them. Mostly have always used Alamo in Orlando. Tried Hertz once, and never again. Won’t try any other, as heard Budget not the best, and won’t try Foxx or any of the lesser known vendors. And never one I have to take a shuttle to. Have done that in many other airports, and it’s a pain I’d rather not deal with if I don’t have to.

We've used Budget, Dollar, and Alamo. They're all about the same. Most important thing is to have whatever perk program they offer so you can skip the giant line!

Rates dipped slightly last 2 days. Seeing 606 at the airport for 8 days verse 454 at the CCC. If I can get with 100 of the second rate rather skip the CCC al together

I've never picked up/dropped off at CCC, but I found a deal there for my 7 day reservation for $120 less that my MCO reservation. Do you think spending $120 more is worth the convenience and time saved picking up/dropping off at MCO? Its directly with Alamo so I would be able to skip the counter.

Depends on if you have the time. I get in Friday morning with no agenda that day. So taking the DME and going to the resort first then CCC to me is worth the $150 saving. I look at it as an extra opportunity to take the money and spend elsewhere.

Yeah that's where I'm struggling too. If you book a reservation at CCC, how long after your flight is scheduled to land do you set the rental car pickup? Trying to get a better understanding of how long going airport -> dme -> resort -> CCC -> will take. I know it can vary greatly depending on time of day and crowds, but maybe just a ballpark figure?

Im landing at 10. I gave myself a 130pm rental pickup time. Thinking even with a backup at the DME 3 hours from land to resort would be worst case. I believe there a shuttle you can schedule for pickup to the CCC. Honestly If I can get my rate to within around 100 I may just say bite the bullet on the MCO pickup.

Yeah, I originally set up my CCC rental for 1.5 hours after landing (I've never taken to DME before) and think I may have underestimated how long the whole process would take. Also my flight has changed so I will only have and hour from landing to CCC pickup. I think the $120 would be worth the MCO pickup/dropoff. Thanks for your help!!

My flight from EWR has changed twice now
My daughters flight 4 times.
Airlines seem to be shuffling to fill planes up
gotcha. Wasn't sure if I missed some big announcement. We just booked our flights over the weekend so I'm hoping they stay put. We have a short trip and I'd hate to lose any time.

Anyone know how flexible rental car companies are being? We're setting these car pick up times based on the flights we book and then the flights are changed sometimes a little, sometimes a lot..

Rate dip this morning on Costco. I'm now at the $100 diff between CCC res and MCO pickup. Grabbing this one for now. Hoping we will see more in the next week or so.

My rate just dropped $40, $50 if I had switched to a different company.

I have a tracker running on autoslash. It's very helpful.

All I see are much higher prices. Glad I at least booked when I did.

Beware booking Hertz on the Mousesaver code...in fact, if they are doing to others what they did to me below, I hope they are the one rental company that doesn't survive this downturn, b/c they are so shady, they don't deserve to do so...

Hertz just changed my Las Vegas rental (where I used the code) and added $1K to it (so $600 to $1600 for a one week minivan rental)...I'm so livid right now - I'm gonna cancel my reservation tomorrow, after I let customer service and Hertz corporate know what I think of their customer service (since their change arrived in an email, 1 month out, which didn't even include my confirm # or the new price and made me log in to find it).
