August 2020- booked GCH with Military discount

HI- I've missed everyone! My son and I were going to go to DL Paris in 2020 but Star Wars Galaxy Edge is beckoning. I booked our stay at GCH (our first time staying there- eek) with a 30% military discount offered. I had budgeted much higher for the hotel so am very excited that the discount was so great. I upgraded to courtyard view after reading the recommendations. I look forward to planning and hearing what everyone has to say about SWGE. I've purposely avoided everything to be surprised but now I get to plan!

You will love the GCH! We stayed there last 4th of July for 3 nights with the military discount and also had a Courtyard view room. That is my favorite view! We love watching the monorail go by and it is so quiet.

I'm not gonna speak of SWGE. It's not my favorite, so I will let those who love it talk it up to you.

As far as SWGE, I loved visiting Batuu, and I'm not even a SW fan! I felt immersed and in awe (despite having a cranky 7yo with us). There's a TON more that I hope they eventually do in Batuu, but it was still great. And we all liked Smuggler's Run!
