I have a question about MaxPass that I haven't been able to find a solid answer to. I understand the wait times between booking FP via MP can vary between 30-90 minutes. Is that a static time based on the ride (i.e. after booking RSR FP, you will always have a 90 minute wait time to book another FP) or is it dynamic based on standby wait times and crowd control (i.e., if it's not busy, the wait time to book another FP might be less)? And, just to confirm, once I scan into a ride using MP, I can immediately book another ride, right? That's how FP works at WDW, but making sure I understand that correctly for DLR. Thanks!

Replying to my own question because I just found the answer! I'll paste it below in case it's helpful to anyone else:

If a ride’s return window is less than 30 minutes away, then the waiting period is 30 minutes (unless you activate the FASTPASS within that 30 minutes — once you scan it at a ride, it erases the waiting period and you are then free to make another reservation). Let's say at 9 a.m. you book a FASTPASS that is from 9:05 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. and you scan in at the FASTPASS Return Immediately, then you can book a new ride right away, because that waiting period is lifted. But if you wait until 9:40 a.m. to ride, then you have to wait until 9:30 a.m. (when the 30 minute waiting period is over) to select the next FASTPASS.
If the return window begins between 30-90 minutes from when you booked it, then the waiting period ends as soon as the return window begins; so if at 2 p.m. you reserve a ride that has a return window of 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., you can make your next reservation as early as 3:15 p.m. when the return window opens.
When you choose a ride that has a return time that begins more than 90 minutes from booking, then your waiting period is 90 minutes. Being able to see all of the available rides and return window choices can help you plan and make decisions to best manage your day. You can have multiple FASTPASS reservations at a time. You just have to book the next one after the waiting period ends.

After a FASTPASS selection has been made, another FASTPASS selection will not be available until the time stated in the Disneyland app.

Do you actually keep to the schedule when you make one?

We usually stick pretty close to it in the morning, but then, as the day progresses, life happens and we adjust. I include the kids in my planning for our trips, so they do have a say in what we decide to go for. I find it much easier & more productive to have such discussions about what they do and do not want to do beforehand, as opposed to in the parks, being hot, tired, and overstimulated.

Both girls love our minimal-wait, high-energy touring style, but that doesn’t mean we are slaves to our plan. Crowd predictions may be off, rides close unexpectedly, and we adjust. But we did find that having a general idea of what we’ll do, combined with the willingness to go with the flow when needed, makes our visits a lot more fun and, ultimately, less stressful.

I think I am packed and ready to head out now after work on Wednesday. I figured I was better off to get it done tonight because I work a 14 hr day tomorrow and then leave right after work on Wednesday!!

Packing always makes me so anxious. We are doing carry on and I feel like I don’t have enough room. I’m sure I’ve goto more than enough but I’m always second guessing myself.

I roll too it works great. I also put my stuff in packing cubes to keep it organized. I still have some room so hopefully I can fit anything I buy or I’ll have to check my small suitcase and buy a back pack for the way home haha.
