*August 2019 check in*

I roll too it works great. I also put my stuff in packing cubes to keep it organized. I still have some room so hopefully I can fit anything I buy or I’ll have to check my small suitcase and buy a back pack for the way home haha.

I keep debating packing cubes. Which ones do you have and why do you love using them?

So. What's the current word for crowd levels at the parks? Are the hordes finally settling in over there or is it still pretty light?? Of course, by the time our trip rolls around later in August, I'm sure it'll be packed regardless of how the current state of the crowds are...

Seems like crowd levels are picking back up. I was there during the week a couple weeks ago I was actually surprised by how crowded it was.

However I was in the park last Sunday and was surprised by how light the crowds were, including how soon the max pass return times were, and how many restaurant reservations were still open at the last minute.

More APs will be unblocked starting August 19, so expecting an uptick in crown levels then. Of course, school will be back in session by the end of August, so you never know!

Sounds like you are ready... It will still be fun even if it is busy, that is just part of the adventure. Just think of all the people who are going that do not read the boards or even research anything and just show up and wonder around. You are way more prepared !!!

I just placed our order for water and snacks with vons, there was a coupon for free delivery plus $20 for spending over $75. I got us some snacks for the room and a small bottle of baileys for our morning coffees haha.. yup we are on vacation so why not :rolleyes1
Where did you order from? We usually do Von's.

I used vons as well, they send you over to Pavillions for the delivery but it's all attached the site just transfers your order over. I did notice that Instacart is also an option but I have never used them and the deliver was higher. There is a discount with vons right now spend $75 get $20 off plus free delivery.

I just have some cheap ones for Ikea I got a few years ago. I just like to keep all my stuff organized so I am not digging through looking for stuff in the suitcase. I put underwear and socks in a small one, then this trip I used one that has two sides on it. I put shirts on one side and shorts on the other. You can roll quite a bit of stuff in there and it compresses it down. The more I can be organized before I go the better. Sleep is very important to me haha and the less I need to do in the morning the better.

I have my small cross body backpack filled with my park stuff already, I just need to add my sun screen in it when we get there. In the morning I just jump up get dressed throw some makeup on, brush my teeth make my baileys and coffee and run out the door. Of course when my kids were little it was a different story, I was still ready to go but getting them ready was another story. My daughter is now 22 and she is great to travel with, she works shift work as a nurse so she gets up and goes fast in the morning now. :rotfl2:

Two Fanny packs and a travel wallet for money, gift cards, and tickets. Got another, waterproof ticket holder for water rides in my backpack (I finally figured out how to tilt the phone so the pics come out straighter).
What ticket holder do you have? I have some little name badge holders that we were going to use but I was worried about the tickets falling out when we pull them out of our back packs. Was thinking of putting a pin on it to keep it closed.

Thanks for the reports of your experiences... I'll expect the worst and hope for the best in terms of crowds at the end of August. Maybe school being back will help out at least a little bit... we shall see, all in good time...

So jealous of all of you so close to your trips. We don’t even leave until 8/28. It’s almost a month until we’ll be in the parks.

I'm glad that some of the photo ops will be in the ballroom and not take away from party time.

We can get to the ballroom by 6is. We need to pick up our stuff and run it back to our hotel. I was debating adding the day to a multi day ticket and going into the park for a few hours, but it looks like there will be some stuff to do at the ballroom!

Silly question - now that tickets and fast passes are electronic do I even need a lanyard any more?
You can still use your ticket to check in for fastpass but I found it was easier to use my phone so I've ditched the lanyard my last trip.

okay I am glad you mentioned this. I almost didn't use them because they were trying to redirect me to Pavilions and I was unsure. Thanks.

What time did you get in line?
Fairly late for us (DD2 was dragging her feet, so we didn’t arrive until just before the photo was taken [6:50]). By the time they opened for early admission 10 mins later, we were about at the end of the fist third of the line (so the bulk of people came after us). However, once we hit Tomorrowland, it wasn’t busy at all—I figure most of those folks were waiting for the 8am rope drop at Galaxy’s Edge.
