Just got a PIN in my email today for up to 30% off rooms (15% for values) and free park hopper... and I think I am set on August 22nd to September 5th for a full 2 weeks at WDW!

Hello - First post, but have been reading for a while now!

I started researching an October trip in mid 2014, but with the addition of grandma # 2 to our group, we are now traveling Aug 9th to the 15th. We'll be in a Cars suite at AoA. It will be the first trip for my daughter, husband and mother in law (grandma #2). It might as well be the first trip for me and my mother as last time we were there DHS was MGM and had JUST opened.

So needless to say, I'm excited!! The kid doesn't know yet. She'll probably find out on her birthday in mid-July.

We've got the room, the dining and the airfare handled. Tickets will be bought on base sometime this month. And then... I guess we wait until June for the next step!

We're doing a split stay at two resorts. Pop is our second resort. Love Pop!

Sure. It says: For stays most nights 6/1 – 8/27/15.

And really this PIN might not be too groundbreaking since Disney has historically released deals to the general public around these same dates (late August), such as free dining or room discounts. The free park hopper in addition to the discounted room rate is one I haven't seen before. Last year our trip started 1 day before the start of free dining and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of booking a throw-away room.

So, now I can't make up my mind whether I should just take advantage of this PIN or wait for better deals that may or may not be released.

I'll be booking any day now so it's almost official. Aug 22 - Sep 5 at Pop! This will be our first 2 week trip. Each trip is getting longer and longer lol.

We go yearly. Our first few trips were 7 days, then 12 days, then 13 days and finally 18 days. We're going down for our second 18 day trip.....and I have an extra 3 day room only added to the end of our trip in case we want to extend to 21 days.

Hah, yeah. It's funny because when I first mentioned WDW to my wife a few years ago, I remember saying, "I bet we'll need to stay there about 3 or 4 days because I'm sure there are a lot of things to do." So I even "splurged" and booked for 5 days, then 7 days the next trip, then 8 days, and now 14 days for the next trip. 21 is almost unimaginable, which means we'll probably be doing 21 day trips in a couple years. lol

Just scheduled my vacation from work today so it's almost official . All I need to do now is book. I'm just keeping an eye on airfare in case I can snag a great deal out of the blue.

Good luck with the airfare. For us, that's the most stressful part of our trip planning.

March 23 they are releasing discounts all the way through the end of August. Standard 30 - 20 - 15 discounts. It will save us over 1400 dollars, but we need to switch to POR from POFQ to get it...

after Aug 10th, the discounts increase by 5%.
