I will be happy to say hello! My dear hubby will have a backpack with 3 different DISer tags on it. I look forward to meeting DISers this trip. What with knowing where everyone is eating and what parks they will be at and when... I almost feel like I am stalking people...:scared1: Anywho... :rolleyes1 would love a dismeet with as many Team Augusts as I can.

I felt like a stalker too ... but everyone knows that us Disney fanatics are not all there :rotfl2:

I'll have it on!!!! I promise!!!!! :goodvibes OOOOh....I see our kids are 1 year apart! Let's set them up and really embarrass them!!!

The second I showed my son, he made me update his age (he had a birthday since I created the signature) ... he laughed because he thinks we really won't see you guys because he doesn't know about the LGMH :lmao:

We'll be at La Hacienda at the same time you are at San Angel, keep an eye out for a Team August Mickey head in Mexico!

We will definitely be keeping an eye out ... I am going to get a Team August Mickey on my bag too! :wave2:

I feel I should be preparing more for our trip. We are not going until the end of August so think I will start "planning" beginning of August. We have our ADRs all set and thus what park we will be in each day. We have also made a list of what rides are must rides/ hopefully ride but not much else.
Any tips of how to prepare would be great! Thanks!

You know, honestly besides packing that's all we do. And trust me, when it gets time to get everything ready that is more than enough.
I make a booklet where I record everything by day. I list ADR place and time, and the confirmation number, what park we will be in and what the hours, showtimes, and parade times are.
The book also includes important phone numbers, flight confirmation numbers, health insurance info (and unless you want me to type out a ridiculously long account of our Orlando hospital emergency hospital stay, just tell me you have health insurance for the States), car rental info, etc etc.

Go here to Mousavers and download the Master Packing List..
It covers everything and I use it every time.

Spent 10 hours at Valleyfair (local amusement park in MN) yesterday in the 90+ heat and humidity. Feeling pretty good about how DD3.5 will do at Disney. She had one meltdown on the very first ride we went on. It was the antique cars and she wanted to go with her brother, but their rules are that the older kid has to be 16 to take a little kid with. So we all 4 went in one car, but DD had to sit in back with me and she cried the whole time  But after that, she was a perfect angel the whole day. DH was a bit of a crab for the last, oh, 6 hours or so. :( He has disc issues in his lower back and I think that it was bugging him yesterday. I was actually surprised because my fellow commando DS15 actually asked to leave before his sister :confused3

The frog toggs worked wonderfully! I kept it moist and then put it in the stroller so DD was sitting on top of it. I think it really kept her cooler. DS and DH were fighting over it when DD wasn't using it, so I think I'm going to order 2 more for the boys.

Definitely will be packing crystal light packets for WDW. They made such a difference in getting us all to drink lots of water, since none of us are really that fond of plain water.

Both kids also used their mister fans quite a bit.

My Tevas worked well all day. I think I'll bring those and my croc flip flops for me. DD wore her crocs all day. DS has some super squishy flip flops that he wore all day and did fine in. DH needs to find something that will work for him. With his back issues, he needs shoes with a lot of support. That's my next mission before the trip.

DD and I made a countdown chain today, and she decorated Mousekeeping tip envelopes with stickers.

I think my DD got some of my genes- she already started packing her backpack for Disney! So far she has her Jasmine barbie, some lipsticks (she's SUCh a girlie girl) and her Belle tiara packed. I tried telling her we didn't need to pack quite yet, but she insisted :)

41 days! Getting closer!

Yes, it was very simple, e cut out the silouettes and sprayed with bleach/water mixture....at first it looked like it wasn't working but ater 30 minutes it looked great!

 (request of the 6 year old ho is avoiding bed...)

I need to order new sandals for the trip soon so i can break them in....I wear flip lops in everyday life when I and not at work but would like something with more of a sole then my $4 walmart pecials....are Teva's good? is there a certian kind that are better? I peronally do not like the croc material.

does anyone know if frog toggs are sold in Ontario, Canada? I've looked in a few walmarts and they've never heard of them. :( We're driving, so I can always stop in the states to shop (what a horrible thought! To HAVE to shop! Heehee)

Is anyone else hitting the panic mode yet? I don't have ADRs or a park plan. But it's just me and I'm going with the flow this time.

I think it's awesome that you are taking a solo trip! You will have a great time!

I am not panicking about the trip, but about everything I have to do BEFORE the trip. I am a matron of honor and a bridesmaid in two weddings in the fall, so I have two showers to plan (totally in charge of one, helping with the other), two dresses to have altered, rooms to book at hotels, etc. My husbands 40th birthday is in a few weeks, so I need to plan something for that! Also, as soon as I get back from our trip, I go back to work. (School starts the Weds after Labor Day & I have to go back Tues.) Plus, I have some rooms I want to organize before school. As long as I have ALL of that done, I can relax! haha! Sorry about the long vent here!

The boys and I have spent the last five nights watching a different Disney movie a night! Love it! Tonight was Toy Story :thumbsup2.

Guess what? I had dinner with my in-laws last night and dinner with my parents and sister tonight and we all decided to book Disney together for next August! YAY!!!! I am so excited. I am going to book the bounceback when we are down there- can I book more than one room? We are thinking about staying at the Boardwalk! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Love love the shirts- adorable! And love that I am not the only one who has children trying to avoid bed! haha

I LOVE Teva mush flip flops. They're what I wear in Disney!

My Teva's are a few years old. Well, now that I think about it, they're 8 years old! I got them the last time I went to WDW with DS (much too long ago!)

I have the ones with the straps across my foot and around my ankle. I like the idea of having something that doesn't go between my toes to switch off to if I get blisters from my flip flops.

Since our trip is a surprise. I can't get too many things put together early. I have to do somethings at night when the kids are in bed. Trying to get garden grocer order together and print out my August thread Mickey heads.

I haven't seen them in stores (haven't looked much, either, though). I just ordered them from amazon.com

Sounds like everyone is having a productive weekend. I did not. :rotfl: Except I changed my 8/22 DHS reservation to a Fantasmic dining package. It means having a table service lunch but I think it will be worth it for the reserved seating.

New ADR is 8/22 - Mama Melrose 130pm

The My Reservations thing says nothing about it being a Fantasmic dining package reservation. Should it??

Me too, please!
8/25 MK
8/26 Epcot
8/27 AK
8/28 MK
8/29 HS
8/30 HS & MK
8/31 MK & maybe another
9/1 DTD & home

We will probably change things a few times since I still have to look up red days

We are not overdoing the scheduling for this trip, so we don't know what we're doing every day yet...so against my typical park planning! Here is what we think we'll do so far:
Aug 14: Arrive, head to resort to check in, the go to MK for haircuts at Harmony Barbershop, stay for MSEP then go to BLT to see Wishes from TOTWL
Aug 15: AK
Aug 16: MK in am then EPCOT in evening
Aug 17: Relax in am...head to MK for EMH until 1 am!
Aug 18: Relax in am, Wishes dessert party
Aug 19: EPCOT am? Cape May Cafe for dinner
Aug 20: DHS, F! at night, evening emh
Aug 21: Head home:scared: until December 22

All done :)
The post where everyone's park days are listed is here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=45459384#post45459384

Mine doesn't say it unless I click on the res. This is the first time we are doing the Fantasmic package- my sister swears it is worth it. It has to be, because last time we had to wait an hour in line just to make sure we could get into the show, the park was so crowded! Turkey legs only hold my boys over for so long! lol
