Great idea!!!!!
And they will come in handy for several places. There's the tiki's that spray in Adventureland, the pavement that has a small splash area in Epcot, Kali in AK, and now the Casey Splash area in the MK. Oh and DHS has the coca cola area that sprays too! It's great if they are wearing something where they can just run into the water and not have to worry about being soggy and uncomfortable for the rest of the day.

OK, you convinced me I'm going to wear my Speedo and only wear my Speedo to the parks:scared:. Mothers you may want to hide you children's eyes. Don't say I didn't give you fair warning.

SenecaWolf I'll join your gang er..um,,I mean your....um club. May I have one of your Mickey Heads Please. Only I think a Star Wars/Disney one would suit me best would this work http://www.figures.com/forums/news/10974-disney-star-wars-series-4-a.html (the first photo with the whole Disney/Star Wars gang. If not then the fab four would be fine.

Thanks!!!
Good idea! With that in mind I went to Walmart's website and they had pants with moisture wicking technology meaning they'd wick sweat away so that's kind of a neat idea. I'm not sure if the walmart version of it will work but I know people at my work wear moisture wicking undershirts alot and say they work good (i work at an office in a factory and factory workers wear them when its hot bc they don't have AC out there and its been 90s-100s here recently). I wonder how those would do with water rides. They should be good with heat and sweat though...

I use those extensively and they work well when wet. I like to wear the t-shirts to the waterpark sometimes for more coverage too :)

The WalMart version works fine :) I haven't seen a massive difference between my cheap ones and my expensive ones other than cut, fit, sometimes the drape of the material. I was looking at some Adidas and Columbia ones today and the material seems sturdier. To be fair, most of my fitted shirts are the $$ ones and my regular t-shirts that DH and I share (as we wear abt the same size) are the cheap ones.

Ok gang,

I got a bit done today in terms of planning and purchasing for my upcoming trip.
1) I reserved our round trip limos from house to airport and back home again. Black stretch limo both ways! Going to the world in style!

2) Ordered t-shirts I designed on an online site. We did 4 different sets. (characters from Aladdin, Cars, Finding Nemo and an Idea I came up with.) I will take pictures when I get them and post them then. They normally come in about 1 week.

3)I ordered clothes for myself. I ordered 3 knee-length shorts and 2 capris and 1 sun dress for my Yachtsman Steakhouse meal. (the rest of the family got their clothes 3 weeks ago, I couldn't find anything for myself. Being Pooh-sized isn't an easy size to shop for!!! :confused3 But it's done now.

Just waiting on Mickey Mail and only 40 days to go!!! SO EXCITED NOW!!!!!::yes::

What products have you used to prevent chafing? I know of body glide but it is harder to find. We bought something from Walmart 2 years ago...also hard to find but we can't remember what it was....or where we put it:)

Our local drug store chain carries a blister stick. It's store brand and looks like a small deodorant. We used it between our toes because we hadn't worn our flip flops all winter and we were getting blisters from the part that goes between our toes :rotfl:

It's just a soft wax type stick. I think it would work well for chaffing too. Check your local drugstore, I imagine all of them carry it:)

Aha...love Google! It was Lanacane antic chafing gel. It worked really well. Now to find it again!

Awesome! :thumbsup2

Love it! I'm trying to decide what to pack too. Do you find short skirts a problem with rides? Not real short, just knee length. I'm packing all skirts or skorts for DD4 but didn't even think of this for me! I'm packing all swim trunks for DS6 so he's cooler, dries fast and doesn't need underwear (sooo too much info, right?).... So he really will be doing the parks commando! :)

My DS tried the swim trunks all day at SixFlags once and had some chafing issues with that mesh stuff that they have inside them. After that, he switched to basketball shorts and those work pretty well. Dry quickly and are lightweight and comfy.

Oh forgot to mention I got my ME envelop delivered by UPS today :cool1: It now seams so much closer I booked this trip the minute I got back from my trip last AUG nearly a year ago. It's weird they did not have my flight info for the trip back. I called Disney right after I booked my flights and gave them all my info.

To all my POR friends that are going this AUG I'm sure you already know about this but just in case you don't be sure to check out http://portorleans.org/

Park List is all updated (for now anyway!) The list is too long to quote entirely so here is a snapshot of a few dates of it. Click here for the full version.

Has anyone done a list yet anywhere of where everyone is going to be each day? I know Nikki did a really helpful ones of ADRs each day.

If not, I'll be happy to do one up. I'll also ask if you plan to be there for RD (so us crazy RD'ers can hunt for each other). Hopefully, this will be also helpful to arrange DisMeets!

And for those who "wing it", just post your overall vacation dates and I'll have a "wing it" list.

Just list:

whether you plan to be there for RD.

Ok gang,

Wow! A limo! that sounds awesome!! I also can't wait to see your shirts! :)

To be fair, most of my fitted shirts are the $$ ones and my regular t-shirts that DH and I share (as we wear abt the same size) are the cheap ones.

Thanks for the info. I will have to check them out. Looks like most were in stock at my local store. It doesn't really need to be that sturdy as I won't wear them again in public though I would wear them exercising unlike shorts that I'd never ever wear again unless i went back to Disney and happen to be the same weight. I tend to yo-yo.

OK, you convinced me I'm going to wear my Speedo and only wear my Speedo to the parks:scared:. Mothers you may want to hide you children's eyes. Don't say I didn't give you fair warning.
:lmao:

SenecaWolf - I am debating on if i want a badge. I don't think my home printer would do it justice, but if its not too much trouble I'd like a Mickey one. :)

Thanks! I stocked up at a used kids store called once upon a child. He's living in them! And I even found a pair of board shorts with a red/white luau pattern and a surfing Mickey patch. So cool!

May have to check out Once upon a child - we are Ontario as well and have one close by. Awesome... we have been looking for some Disney themed shorts - bet that is cute!

When do you generally get your Disney packages? I cant wait for ours to arrive! We are there the last week of August so may still be a little while but just curious.

Me too! Eagerly awaiting that package!

I spent the night designing shirts. I am addicted to photoshop now! I'll post pics once I figure out how :)

Nighty night, August friends!

I see others with my dates are starting to receive their ME envelope - none in my mailbox yet. :worried: But I did get my photopass + voucher in the mail. :p

I am anxiously waiting my Disney package as well! Our payment deadline was July 11th so i called just to make sure we had a 0 balance, and was told yes and that the packages are supposed to be processed the day after the deadline for your payment, and mailed out within a week. I don't know if this is correct due to the fact that i have been getting different answers from CM's about everything this trip, but I am hoping!!!! I was my papers that make it REAL, REAL! like luggage tags and coupon books, you know!!!

DH got the mail in on Thursday, I wasn't feeling well so I asked him if there was anything important in the mail. Mind you, the trip is a surprise for the kids. He announced the we got something from Magical Express. Ahhh! The kids were in the room nexst door! Luckily they did not hear what was going on...the surprise is still a secret!
