I had a question about visiting the parks.

I was looking at EasyWDW.com and noticed that MK is never recommended on a Monday. Is that because EVERYONE goes there first?

That is where I wanted to go on Monday of my visit on my first day. The crowd prediction is only a 4 overall though. Would it be a bad idea to go there first?

My current plan is
Monday - MK
Tuesday - AK
Wendesday - HS
Thursday - Epcot
Friday - revisit faves/see what we missed

See that's weird because on the Touring Calender that he has out for August, he lists Monday, 8/20 as a Highly Recommended day for MK. Maybe it depends which week? We check in that day and I'm still trying to decide whether to tour MK for our first night or EP, which is the Most Recommended Day. Guess it'll depend on what everyone feels like doing~

Meanwhile I have a question for Teva flip flop fans. After reading some reviews it seems like Teva has changed their flip flops on the Mush II and now they are narrower and less support. I can get the 'original' ones on the Teva website at full price but they are backordered until 8/14 which cuts it very close to my trip (leaving 8/18) or I can get the Mush II from pretty much anywhere else for less. Thoughts? I would have never thought flip flops would be supportive enough for all that walking but I'm willing to try them.

Hi everyone, jumping in on this thread - thanks to DisneyMomFanatic for pointing this newbie in the right direction! I'm still new to this board and love it, but spending half my time lost.

We (me, DH and DS4) are booked in CBR from 8/26 - 9/3. I'm so freaking excited! I've been to DW 3 times (once as a teenager w/parents, once for honeymoon and another time with DH). This is our first visit in about 12 years and our first time staying onsite and the first for our son!

I booked pretty last minute (about 3 weeks ago) and went with the free DP and got thrown into the ADR world with no clue, but have managed to get just about everything I wanted. Not too bad considering the late start.

So my ADRs are:

8/26 (arrival day) - House of Blues @ 5:30. I'm actually hoping we end up goign to MK for the evening and if we do, this one will get cancelled.

8/27 (Epcot Day) - Ohanas @ 7:55 and Biergarten @ 5:15

8/28 (MK Day) - Crystal Palace @ 1:15 (would rather breakfast, but it's booked... I keep trying) and Wishes Dessert Party @ 8:20

8/30 (off site day) - 1900 Park Fare @ 8:20AM (this is one of my maybes - Cape May is the other - one of them will have to get dropped once I make up my mind.

8/31 (DHS day) - Hollywood & Vine @ 8:20 and Sci-Fi @ 4:00

9/1 (AK day) - Tuskers @ 8:05 and Rainforest @ 4:30

9/2 (MK day) - LIberty Tree @ 4:20

9/3 (departure day) - Cape May @ 7:55 (only if we don't do 1900 Park Fare on 8/30)

Finally happy with my ADR's. We're trying to finally try all of the CS places that we always say we're going to, but never do, and going at a slower pace.

We switched to a Royal Room at the Port Orleans Riverside too, btw. Still August 25th-September 1st. We're going to take max advantage of the boat to DTD and try places like Cookes of Dublin and Wolfgang Puck Express. We're also doing two days at the "dark side" and didn't want to make reservations on those days, just in case.

My dining reservations............

We are staying at the Poly from August 25-September 1.

Aug. 30 - Coral Reef - 735
Aug. 31 - Chef Mickeys - 1040

Did anyone else watch their hometown fireworks last night and think that it just wasn't the same because the Wishes soundtrack wasn't playing in the background? I mean, they were good and all, but something was definitely missing.

Since going to Disney, I don't even bother going to our hometown's fireworks anymore.......

We're headed to MK on our first day, 8/20, too - even though it's a RED DAY!

On our last couple of trips, we've done MK later in the trip, and we've always been so tired by that point that we haven't been able to enjoy it as much. We know that this means MK will be busier than if we waited until later in the trip, but we wanted to start our vacation in MK while we're still fresh. And like you said NightAngelX, hopefully this just means that on the rest of our days it will feel like there are no crowds at all! (Or something like that)
