QOTD: Are you writing/planning on writing a PTR/TR??? If so, link it!!

I have all my past TRs in my signature. I just finished up my February TR so I'm just adding some PTR stuff for this trip to the end of that. I will definitely be writing a TR when we return though!

I've been thinking about writing one. I really enjoyed reading yours Nikki (even if it makes me feel like a stalker). Do you put yours in a personal journal or blog too or just post on here?

I will definitely post the link if I start one! :goodvibes

Thank you guys. I thought it was too good to pass up but sometimes you need a little bit of advice:)

I just sent the email to say book it!.. We're going to the Yacht Club:banana:

Yay! Glad you picked the Yacht Club!

Thanks again you guys. I am just thrilled!!
I can't get the DDP with this offer that I just booked but to give you an idea.. it's 1400 cheaper than what I was paying at AoA with upgraded free dining. 1400 will cover our food for the 7 days no problem:cool1: We will purchase TIW because we have AP's. This promo rate has to include 2 day base tickets but we need tickets for dd's friend anyway. I checked and she can use all of them.. PLUS they include a waterpark or DisneyQuest visit per ticket for her.
With the free dining I was going to have to upgrade one of the 2 day base tickets for dd's friend for another 200. So really.. booking this is 1600 cheaper than AoA with free ddp (upgraded to regular dining).
Insane!!! PLUS we are in such a great location we no longer feel we need to rent a car for the Disney portion of our stay, saving us even more.

I am over the moon:banana::banana::banana:

Now.. to answer the question of the day.

I always consider doing a pre trip report or trip report. But I know me. As soon as I started it would feel like an obligation to keep going and then I wouldn't want to do it:rolleyes1
So I just enjoy living vicariously through other people's trips. I appreciate those that take the time to do it. It makes for great reading before a trip:wizard:

I don't know if I have time to write a PTR, and I was not planning on doing a TR (never have done one!). BUT...I am planning on doing a dining report when we get back. Reading a lot of dining reviews have helped me in choosing our ADRs for our trip :goodvibes

I did one for our New Years trip in January:

I hope to do a TR after we return from the August trip as well, but it all hinges on how much free time I have on my hands. :)

Wow!!! Sounds awesome!!! :cheer2:

I just knew you weren't done changing your mind just yet ;) !!!

I just saw your name as I came to this thread and got ready to be teased:rotfl:
Very mild I must say!:rotfl:

And I loved loved loved your trip report Gina! I read it long after it was done so didn't bump it up again. It gave us such a good view of all the other things available to do in Orlando!!

Almost time before we can say, 'I go to Disney world NEXT MONTH'!!

FUN fun FUN, and another thing is I guess a lot of us have hit our 45 days and payment date, up until that date I am always nervous but once it is paid for, then let the fun begin.!

Great Chose! How amazing will it be when you just walk over to Epcot!!!

HAPPY LAST FRIDAY OF JUNE, TEAM AUGUST!!!:cheer2:
QOTD: TELL US WHERE YOU'RE STAYING AND WHY YOU CHOSE YOUR RESORT!!

Contemporay Resort. As a teenager my family always stayed there and we would meet up with lots of family members, so this resort brings back lots of memoreis and I want to make new ones with my kids. A funny thing is that we love to stay on the bay lake view, some people think its odd not to prefer the magic kingdom side but I really love to hear the boats horns in the early morning and that :woohoo: reminds me that I am waking up to another day at Disney.]

Just booked the Dessert Party! Was so excited I was able to get an ADR for this as its something we have never done. Here are all of our ADR's......

8/28
Chef Mickey's at 9pm
8/29
Coral Reef at 8pm
8/30
50's Prime Time at 4pm
Wishes Dessert Party at 9pm
8/31
Crystal Palace at 7:15pm
9/1
Teppan Edo at 6:30pm
9/2
'Ohana at 6:55pm
9/3
Sci Fi at 7:15pm

I may change Sci Fi as I think it's better suited for lunch. My DD loves this place so it's a must do. I can take it or leave it.

I was so excited yesterday when I noticed the counter on my cell was at 60 days out before we leave. Still seems so far away but we can enjoy the rest of the summer while we are waiting. :yay:

ADRs added! :thumbsup2

Yay!! So glad you are reading. I actually don't put it anyone but just post right here. I actually just went back and reread my very first TR for my honeymoon 3 years ago and it brought back so many memories. I would like to find a way to put it in a file I can save.

Thanks again you guys. I am just thrilled!!

I definitely think you made the right choice. I'm a HUGE fan of the TIW card. I think it's a great deal, way better than the dining plan if you have an AP.

I am so excited! Due to extremely low airfare, upgrade to annual pass and hotel discounts, we just booked for Aug 14-21! I still can't believe it! We are staying at All Star Sports...requested the baseball wing. Now we have to decide between QSDP and DP. Can you still trade 1 TS for 2 QS? DH does not want to be tied down to too many TS meals but it seems to be worth the small price difference to pay for the dining plan and do a few TS restaurants.

I was trying to be on my best behaviour, just for you :littleangel: .

And thanks for the sweet comments on my trip report . It was fun to do. I love reading about other Disers adventures (they are often full of some great ideas) so I hoped maybe mine might help someone else along the way as well :goodvibes .

I inadvertently posted this in a one word answer thread, um oops!!! :lmao:
Slightly more than one word. :rotfl2:
Now that it's in the right thread, you all will understand why I am posting this list here.

QOTD: Do you do a PTR/TR or are you going to?

I did try once and got soooo close to finishing it, but never did. Life happened in a big way. :goodvibes

This time, since we are doing the Deluxe Dining Plan with 4 adult meals each time, we are going to do a dining report.

I would like to do a TR, but I am a much better writer and funnier in my own head than I am on "paper". Oh well...:confused3 But I do love reading others trip reports and dining reports. Keep them coming. :thumbsup2

Here is the current list of August ADRs! If you would like to be added, there are any changes or I made any errors, post them or PM me. :)

I love the way you set this up!

I have one more while it's not an ADR (no eating involved but advance booking required) it would be cool to see one of our group during our Segway Tour on the 30th at 9:00am.

Thursday, August 30th
Crystal Palace (8:30pm)
Liberty Tree Tavern (1:55pm)

We have a Liberty Tree Tavern ADR for 12:30pm on the same day you will be there. We may be bumping into each other as you are arriving and we are leaving, it is a stretch but depending on how slow we are eating and enjoying the AC....you never know. If you happen upon 4 people with a wooden LMG on our Blue DVC Members canvas backpack, don't hesitate to stop us and say hi :goodvibes. I love it when other DISers come up to us and strike up a conversation or just say hi :wave2:

I will print this out and put it with our ressies and look for you. So if in the lobby you see a family of 4 with a 6 foot tall DH and a 5 foot tall round woman with a son as tall as she is and a curly haired daughter, that would be us, please say hi to us. I love meeting other Disers as well. :wave2:

My DH posted on his facebook that he's going to Disney World and one of his friends said he had a friend who was trying to sell his Disney Vacation Points and could he pass on his email. DH said yes and he was contacted by said person who asked us about our plans. He hasn't told DH anything or prices. I may post on the Vacation Club board see what they say. Has anyone bought anyone's points before???
