What a good-looking trio! Three cats must be a ton of fun when they decide to get into mischief!

I just know that I will end up to be one of those old crazy cat women in my senior years....the kind that has a dozen cats and spends all her retirement money on Fancy Feast!!

So, we know there are a lot of cat lovers here....where's the love for the dog owners?!?! Mocha will go to a local kennel that we really love (no family around here and my gf I'd ask to watch her is also out of town for part of the same week.)

One of my fave pics of Mocha Latte (less than a year old here, she's almost 9)

and one to show her nubby (around 4 years old) - we adopted her like that from the pound as a puppy. There had been a dog fighting ring broken up and a bunch of dogs of all ages came into the pound at the same time. The workers there the day we adopted her were not sure if she had been brought in with them. (We always feel the need to explain that we did not do that to her!)

We'll be there Aug 17-25, and we're staying at the BC for the first time. Can't wait to brave the heat & afternoon showers!

QOTD: What are some of the not so well known things you've done at Disney?

I found out about the hair color/mickey glitter at the barbershop here on the Dis before our 2009 trip. Thought it was pretty cool but not sure that I'd do it in summer because I'm thinking it'd take forever to dry. (Saw this pic while in photobucket for the dog pic and got the idea for the question, LOL)

Hi, I thought I was on the first page but maybe I never added my info.

August 18-26 at AoA.

Thanks!

QOTD: What are some of the not so well known things you've done at Disney?

Excellent QOTD!!:cheer2:

I dont know how 'not well known' this is but after years of visits to WDW, I finally played mini golf-DH and I went to Winter Summerland and played two rounds (the 2nd time was only 1/2 price after paying for the first one) We had a such a super time!!:) I definitely want to do that during our August trip, but we'll plan on going at night when it cools down a little.

Good Morning August Disers!
Last night we made a spur of the moment decision and decided we're going to try to change our February trip to a surprise Christmas trip instead. We'd go the week before Christmas.
I had a free dining pin so we're going for it. Guess when my ADR window opens? Umm.. tomorrow morning:scared:
So I have a hefty day of December planning ahead.
In the end it could all be for not. Dh might not be able to get that week..though he thinks he'll be done.
So my head is in December for today.
We plan for two vacations a year, so technically the December trip would be one of our 2013 vacations. The second one is going to be camping/cabin or the mountains. I've always wanted to see the Christmas festivities at Disney so I am excited. But it will be the last trip for quite some time.
Might as well go out with a bang though.:rotfl:

Well of course there is.....this is my 6 year old lab Cutie. She was a pound puppy who will also be going to the kennel for the 2 weeks we are gone...

Last year we adopted an elderly fella' from a rescue. He was 11 years old and his human passed away leaving him with an elderly mom who could not care for him. He was turned in to the local city shelter and given 2 weeks to find a home. A caring shelter employee knew that at his advanced age it would be very unlikely that he would find a home. She called a local rescue and they saved him from what I believe was certain death. We found him about two weeks later and he is the cherry on the top of our happy family! He is now 12 years young and runs and plays like a puppy!

To make a long story short, we are heading back to Disney in August and I am starting to panic. My entire family is taking this trip with me and I have no real choice other than to board my dogs. My 7 yr old Pom has done it many times and never seemed too bothered by it, but I am really worried about my old fella. I am afraid that he will think he is being taken back to the shelter. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm just here to vent I guess. I'm sure he will be fine. They girls at the vet/kennel are very attentive and will love them both like crazy. I just don't want him to think he is being abandoned yet again!

:laughing:I was just thinking "Heres she goes again"!

I have no room to judge: Im 'this close' to changing our August ressies to split it between Pop and POR......'this close':scratchin

If both dogs get along well, have them board the dogs together in the same run. It will give the both comfort.

Naw, not changing my mind on anymore ressies.
I just went and booked an entirely new trip to feed that beast:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nothing I can think of! I have the BBB for colored gel booked, considered changing to HBS but now I just booked PL instead but I am not sure about make up and bandana in the heat. ARG, its so hard to decide.
