I found another awesome deal for my August trip!! First I was able to get Shades of Green at the 40% Endless Summer Discount, and now I got a new carry on from Vera Bradley on sale!! Since my husband will have all of our luggage with him on his temporary duty assignment in Mississippi, I needed something new to carry-on the plane for my trip to WDW (I'm not planning to check a bag since I'm going solo). I saw this morning that Vera Bradley had a sale on it's Grand Traveler. It is normally $118, on sale for $98. But then I also used the Springfun Coupon Code and got another 15% off. So even with shipping and tax, I am still under $100.00!! Now I KNOW that my husband might not consider that a real deal... But I do!!

Now.... to buy my airfare!! Sure would be nice if I found a deal on that too!!

Got all of the dining reservations I wanted except for an 'Ohana dinner, but I'll keep watch for that. Last year I had great luck about one week out and nabbed great cancellations.

I understand, from folks on these boards, that crowds start to die down the second half of August. So, while crowds will not be as low as, say, September - October, they won't be as large as June - July and spring break. Because kids in the southern states go back to school in August. Touringplans.com has crowd forecasters for each month, rating them on a scale of 1 - 10. I think there is a fee to join, though, but it's not much. We are going August 17 - 24, so I hope it won't be too bad.

We went one year (checked in Aug 16th) and the crowds were smaller than our last trip in Oct. We walked on to every ride!

We are a family of 4 myself, hubby, daughter (10) and son (4) and we will be staying at POP august 7-13! We have not been since 2005 when my daughter was 3 so this is my son's FIRST visit! He is a HUUUUUUUGE Mickey fan so we cannot WAIT for him to lay eyes on him for the first time!

I am so excited, I just got off the phone with Disney...I paid off our vacation . I am still waiting for airfare to go down a bit before booking, but other than that, I am going to sit back and watch my ticker go down . I just had to share my excitement .

Hello!!! I recognize your screen name, I think our trips have crossed paths before! We'll definitely keep an eye out, I'm constantly scanning the parks for lime green Mickey's!!! My DD is 8 too, she'll be 9 in June.

Okay now I can start thinking about our trip. This is our 9th visit and my boys (17 and 19) still love it!!!!!!!!! We are on the DDP again but it looks like WPE is no longer available for breakfast???? Has anyone heard any details about this????
We are staying at POR this will be our 3rd time there, I do prefer POFQ but we are going with friends and originally needed a room for 5. We have always gone in September before and its been HOT, I can't imagine August. I'm sure I will melt!!!!!!!

Now going 8-9/8-15 and staying at AKL!! Super excited about AKL!! With my 2 year old...and it going to be so hot...we'll spend a lot of time at the hotel and it sounds like there's alot to do there!
