Congrats to those who either are getting the latest summer PIN code or got late summer Free Dining. I think it really rots though that all the people who are going the 3rd week of August are missing out on either discount. I don't get how Disney came up with these latest dates. I may call and see if I have the code and complain that it does not cover the one week I am booked.

I got a code in my email yesterday for up to 30% off but it does me not good as we are checking in on Aug 18 and it was only good until Aug 14! They just keep teasing me!lol

See! I think that is bogus how it excludes the following week. There's that one week sandwiched inbetween 2 offers.

But it just may be that that weeks bookings are doing OK so no need to offer a discount.

I agree, between bounceback, UK and Canadian FD, it looks like the bookings for the third week of August are doing ok.

I'm also a teacher - also thrilled of when value season starts - we are driving August 4th, staying in Altamonte Springs that night and going in first thing on August 5th. I wish they would do something else discount wise, but since we are staying at AofA, I'm thinking it wouldn't help anyway.

My pin code specifically said it excluded the AofA....sorry! Though it sounds like you'll be getting your money's worth

CONGRATS on the pixie dust. You know, that Garden view is only $10/more a nights, at 30% off, you're only paying $7 not to look at a parking lot - not a bad upgrade really. Heck, I'd take it

I've been watching, waiting, hoping, sulking for a pin. Now I'm wondering if I should rebook at Mod over a value? But my luck, I may not get the pin and then when trying to rebook, POP would be gone oh the agony!

Thanks for sharing that $10 info, I tried to look on the Disney site but they weren't even offerning standard view for my time frame, so I couldn't compare (and now I'm a bit nervous about the number of people....that's never been the case in the past with this resort when I've gone that they ran out of standards...yikes!). I'm really glad there's no big difference, because we really aren't at the room enough to make the view matter!

Just wondering, I have a PIN and am booked with it (20 percent). But if a 30 percent is offered me, like some of you have until Aug. 14, would I be able to use it at all if my first day I'm booked for is Aug. 13th? Would it then be able to be applied for my whole trip?

Yep that is what Im thinking, but in our case if something doesn't come out we will be canceling our trip.

We are staying at POR starting 8/13 as well! I have read on other threads and sites that some discounts are good through your entire stay even if the discount ends during your stay.

This is true for package discounts such as FD, however room only discounts must fall within the promotion dates to qualify.

If a room only discount ends 8/14 and your travel dates are 8/13-8/20, the discount would only apply 8/13 and 8/14.

With a package discount such as FD, as long as your check-in date falls within the promotion the discount is valid the entire trip (up to 14 nights).

I need this PIN!!!! Instead I got one in the mail for the month of June!!!!! Truly it's a completely useless PIN because there are already discounts out for the month of June and I'm going in August!!!

What are the AAA rates/deals for August? We are going 11-18. Since there are currently no deals for that time, thought about joining AAA if there is a deal. Also, what else do you use AAA for? Is it worth it?

Well I was very excited to receive my 30% off PIN because it is during the dates we'll be there. BUT the snail mail came with my husbands name on it, and he isn't going with us this year - just my daughter and I - and I'm told I can't use it because its in his name and he has to prove ID at check in
