Just on here today to see if there are any more families going in mid to late August. Hope it won't be too crowded. Looking to have the most Magical time, ever.:cool1::woohoo:

I thought you would. If we can be included after without the dinner I would be able to do that:)

It is a package. I do not think it is possible, barring paying the whole price and only enjoying the dessert and prime viewing, if interested please PM and I will get you info. More the merrier.

Returning to Disney 2011...last year i went with my boyfriend in the middle of august and it rained most of the trip so trying to go either august 2-10 or august 31-sept 7th to see if the weather is any different.any advice?

Looks like we're practically neighbors! And looks like we will be in Disney a few of the same days!! Our dates are 8/20-8/29/2011. BTW on the code question it's not really known how codes are distributed some have said that they goto www.disney.com sign up for an account and save that trip to your account for the dates and resort etc.. that you want and most have done this and gotten codes although some people haven't and some believe signing up for the Free Disney DVD activates codes although it's all speculation it's worth a shot I did it last year and I did start recieving codes not sure which trigered it but I did both things I mentioned so try it and see what happens.:thumbsup2

Hi Marie,
We've never been in August, but will be going during that month this year. I looked at "Weather Underground" to get an idea of the weather (historically) during this period. Here's a link to what I found:

http://www.wunderground.com/history...=Executive&req_state=FL&req_statename=Florida

You could plot your dates to try and find the best time for you - but I really think August is typically a rainy month in FL. I've heard tho, that showers are usually short lived. (Let's keep our fingers crossed!)

Have a great trip.

Ive been in August the past four years there is usually RAIN at some point but with the heat the rain cools you off! :)But they are normally short lived there was only one time about two years ago we had a downpour and the Hippity Dippity Pool at Pop actually OverFlowed!!!!:lmao:It was very interesting LOL! Although other than that if it rained it was short lived. Be safe bring rain ponchos and umbrellas if you don't want to pay $10 a poncho at Disney if you have a car Walmart sells them with Mickey or Minnie on the backs for $3! If not I suggest bringing them along :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Hey neighbor. I've heard that and I do have some trips saved on my account and I did order 2 DVD's and maps, and since we already booked a trip, the cast member said that I didn't have any codes attached to my name. We're hoping before we go, that we can call up Disney to see if there are any codes. We have to time before we go so hopefully. We'll be driving down, staying for 7 days and then 3 at Universal, maybe we'll see each other, if not, hope you have a great magical time.:thumbsup2

Hi, Popping in to say: August 14 - 18, GF :cheer2: Myself, DD, Grandma & Grandpa. We will be celebrating my DD's Sweet 16! :wizard:

We are going August 14- 20 and then it's 21-23 at Universal Orlando. We cannot wait, it's been such a long time and our daughters are going to love it this time. Just counting down, our girls don't know we're going yet and they won't know until we arrive, driving down from Jersey. :cool1: It's a long drive but it will well worth it, I love to drive anyway. Hope there will be other families that will be going during those days.....

The end of Aug into Sept. can still be quite rainy, but I think I would still choose Aug 31-Sept 7 for the lighter crowds.

Here's our ADR's:
Aug 28 - CRT @ 4
Aug 29 - 50's Prime Time @ 12
Aug 30 - 1900 Park Fare @ 4:30
Aug 31 - Nothing
Sept 1 - Coral Reef @ 5:30
Sept 2 - Chef Mickey's @ 5:30
Sept 3 - Hollywood & Vine @ 11:30
Sept 4 - Tusker House @ 10am
Ohana @ 5:30
Sept 5 - Crystal Palace @ 11:30

We really tried to gear all of our ADR's around our kids this year. They will be 4 & 22 months. Last year we spent too much time doing dining and our children were miserable. This year we want to get in and out as quickly as possible, hence all the buffets.

We also tried to schedule as many lunches as possible, so we can get our TS meals out of the way and not be tied down for the rest of the year.

Now we have only visited WDW twice, both times staying at POR almost 3 years apart, and I NEVER thought I'd be saying this especially after we just came back from Disney in December, but we're headed to the YC! I'm soooo excited to be staying there and getting to swim in SAB! We're headed down 8/21-8/25!
