August 2011

Ok how easy is the online ressies? What time do they start ? I need to make my ADR's incognito as this trip is a surprise to my kids.. I was planning on locking myself in a closet but if I can do them online that would be even better. Are they linked to my package?

Doing them online is so much easier/faster than calling! And you can do it at 6:00am rather than 7:00am. There is a place you can link it to your package ressie so that you can make them all 180 days from the first day of your trip. :goodvibes

These are the ADR's I think I'll try for,

Chef Mickeys (dinner - new for us - DD8's pick)
Coral Reef (dinner - a must do every trip)
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Package - new for us)
Yak and Yetti (dinner - new for us - DD20's pick)
Crystal Palace (Breakfast - another must do)
Les Chefs (dinner - DD22's pick)
Rose & Crown (dinner - during Illuminations)

What do you think?

I feel Goofy haha! We've had our plans for ADR's for 6 months already. I even know which days we want everything. Now I just have to wait till it's actually time to make ADR's!

Hi We will be at the Boardwalk in August too! 8/27 - 9/5. Great choices for dining. I would give up the ESPN and Planet Hollywood- In my opinion that is standard fare that you can get anywhere. All the other places are so fun and so DISNEY!
Enjoy your planning!!

It looks like there will be a lot of us at the Boardwalk in August!
We are there 8/26 - 9/2!

You ADR's sound great, however Garden Grill only does dinner.
We went there in November and it was one of DH's favorite meals (and he didn't want to eat there!)

You should think about Crystal Palace for breakfast, if you book early you get to enter the MK befor the park opens! There's nothing like walking down Main Street by yourself!!

August 26 - Sept 3 at the Beach Club (first time staying there :woohoo: )

Can't come soon enough - especially with the winter we are having here in NYC. Still need to work on ADR plan...4 more weeks for that.

Let's see, I can tell you the ones we have been to and if we liked them or not. . . I'll start with the ones we love -- Crystal Palace, Sci-Fi, Chef Mickeys, Ohana, & Kona. We thought 1900 PF, Planet Hollywood, and H&V were okay. And we didn't really care for Garden Grill and WCC. Haven't been to the others.

Looks like a great list!

Uggh looks like we might have to cancel our trip this year....:sad2: I am soo bummed. I am in college for my Bachelors in Psychology and my husband is in college for his business degree and our summer vacation from school falls August 28th to September 5th which is great for us, but school for my 8 year old may start the 27th and my husband does not want her to miss the first week of school. In 2009 we went to Disney for two weeks in Mid september so she only missed a couple weeks after school had been in almost a month already. What are your opinions wait until next year? :sad1: or take her out for a week anyway and bring her classwork and homework with us? :confused3 I am soooo torn it will be two years now I will not get to my happy place...:sad2:

No advice ..but that really sucks... we thought we would have to cancel earlier in the week but I think we are all set now.. just gotta be really careful..
