August 2011 Free Disney Dining Plan Family Vacation!!

Hello everyone. Friends, Loved One's, Family, Reader's..
So, the dates are all set. The air is filled with excitement. The countdown begins!!
August 30th-Sept 6th 2011. Disneyworld here we come!!
Only A few short months away. Nine, and a few weeks to be exact. Time to get excited. Time, to get into Disney Mode.

Well, let me give you all some backround about me. I am Melissa. Yep, your family member, friend, cousin, aunt, and most importantly wife, and mom. I am a Disneyaholic. I have a serious infatuation, deep love for Disney..I have been to Disney World, in Florida. More than 20, less than 25 times. Have also been to Disneyland in California. I average at least a trip a year, if not two. However 2010. I did not get a chance to go at all. So this trip is a long time coming. And, I am so looking forward to every second of it!

How this trip idea began, you ask?

Lorraine, my sister by feeling(Quietrain4eva) and I were talking one day about vacationing somewhere. And we were pretty set on a cruise vacation. Until, Disney announced. The Free Disney Dining Plan for dates in 2011. So, we thought, and thought. And then,..All at once. We decided Disney, here we come. However, Lorraine. Also suggested we extend the invite to our friends, loved ones, and family. And so, here we are.

Even though, we did not get the amount of participation. We once thought we would have. We all know, times are tough. With the economy, it is very difficult for everybody.(Disney is an expensive vacation, but it is a wonderful one.)Plus, others could very well. Have other obligations, plans, work, etc. I understand. But, it was more for reuniting with friends & family, over a week long vacation that we have not seen or spoken to for ages. And what better place to come together than the Happiest Place on Earth?? So, to those who cannot make it. You will be sorely missed. I was looking so forward to seeing you. But to those who are vacationing with us! We will have the very best time.. In the Most Magical Place on Earth!

So, what is the purpose to have this pre-trip report?

It is so everyone going will be able to connect, reconnect, introduce ourselves, ask questions, throw in suggestions. Get excited. Join in on the banter. Find out any information you are unsure about. But mainly to get everyone in Disney mode. I will try my hardest to check in to the Disboards daily. I am always on facebook. If you have any questions. Hey Melissa.... long time no see! Sorry to hear you didn't get to go in 2010, but glad you got plans for next year! We plan on going to celebrate my 40th birthday.... but going a little late! We found the crowds die down after labor day so we are waiting. Sept 11-17 with a day trip to US. We even have plans to stay at our first mod... POR!

Hi Michelle! It has been a very long time. Your 40th wow. Seems long ago, but just like yesterday we met. How's your mom, and family? Everyone here is doing great, thank God.

The time you are going sounds wonderful. I usually prefer later than earlier. Not only do I love the food and wine festival, the weather is a nicer and the crowds do die down. But, since I am taking the kids. I am stuck around their school schedule.

I am so excited for you. I hear POR is fabulous! I loved the Coronado Springs Resort. I would love to go back one day. We were going to be staying POR this year. But, my wonderful mother in law is coming with us so we now have 2 rooms at POP. I am so stoked my mother in law is going. She owns a timeshare, and has never stayed on property and/or free dining. I think she will love it.
