Looks like they are finally lowering some of their mid-month prices so I was able to book a compact (instead of the enormous 7 passenger mini van that I had booked for just 2 of us) for a cheaper rate. I'm sure that the prices will continue to lower, but thankfully now I am in a more manageable sized car. Definitely check your rates today!!!

The minivan rates skyrocketed! We will keep ours at $347 for 11 days, even though the standard SUV is $20 cheaper.

Question: I am sure you can't, but can you mix the contract code and coupon code as long as you are eligible for both? Like Insider Contract code and a BJ's coupon? I am sure the answer is no, but it would save another $20

I just check mine again and it is currently $150.99 for mid size. I have my car booked from 8:30 pm on 8/3 to 7:30 pm on 8/9./ Give me your times and I will check for you if you like. I am signed up for alamo insiders which gives you a 10% discount.

Are any coupons working at all???

Does anyone know the difference between a standard size and mid size? Are they actually on the same row/category at Alamo? It seems I only see both classes when there is an upgrade coupon involved.

Renting from the Car Care Center or Swan/Dolphin will run you more than renting from the airport. Dont know why but it does. HOw many people will be in the car? A mid size at the airport is running $152.00 for 8/3 -8/9

For the last five Augusts it has been significantly cheaper to rent at the Dolphin. There is no airport tax and the general rates have always been lower. Not sure why this year it's higher.

I just rebooked. Rates are very low for early august arrival. I used alamo insiders double upgrade and now have standard with taxes and fees for total of $105! Which should give me a full size for compact price.

Keep chcking Alamo every so often. I have been trying to book rental for the above dates for the last four months and they have been very high. Rates finally started to come down in the last few days so I booked at thrifty with the Wild Card for $180.00 with taxes and fees included and figured I would have to liv with that. But like many I have an obsession with planning my disney vacations and can't seem to let go of anythin.


Yesterday I started checking Alamo in am. Rates were $200 + tax and fees then dropped down to $143 = tax and fees. It seemed like they were changing every half hour or so. Up then down. So last evening at 10:00 pm I got mid size for $153 which included taxes and fees. Finally something that was a decent deal. ( Although, I have rented in the past for 5 days under $100 with taxes and fees). Then this morning I they were still running the same as when I booked this deal last night. Checked back in hour and half later and I got same deal but my total now is $132 which includes tax and fees. As soon as I booked I went back in and reran the same and rates had jumped back up again. It pays to just keep checking every hou or so.

I still can not apply any coupons! The entertainment coupons have been locked out for quite awhile now!!!

HOLY SMOKES.. I re-checked my dates (8/14-8/18 w/ Alamo Insiders $25 off) and the cost tripled since I originally booked!!! I got a Mid Sized SUV for $126.xx and today it's coming up as $376.xx! WTH?!

I check everyday but so far it is still far less expensive to rent at MCO. Keep looking and try the Alamo insiders double upgrade coupon. Have you checked the MCO rates?

I'm not speaking for SondraC, but I too have an August trip and the rates are all over the place. The folks picking up the week before me and the week after me are getting great prices. My dates are showing extremely high prices. I often will put in different dates just to see what folks going before me are getting and hope I get some similar prices. My dates are high for my Aug. 12-19 trip. I did get a good rate several weeks ago, but that deal is gone and the rates are double now. I'm 19 days away now, so am still hoping to see some drops, but I'd be happy if a coupon would work for my dates. The coupons work for the week after mine. I guess I'm going during a busier week.
