Yes I think so, since I just got a quote putting in my same info but picking up at Disney and dropping off at MCO and the price was over $300.

It's really crazy. It all seems to be date related right now. Picking up on a different date or different times reveals a different assortment of vehicles available. My dates are Aug 12 @ 6:30P to Aug 19 @ noon and I'm being offered a mid-size SUV or minivan for a lower price than a sub-compact, BUT no coupons work for me. However, if I change my dates to exactly a week later, I don't get the same assortment of choices, but the coupon works. All anyone can do is to keep checking for last minute changes. I'm thinking righ tnow they are offering up the vehicles most available for the times we are arriving. In the past, sometimes adjust you pick up or drop off by 30 minutes would sometimes change everything, not sure why, so you can always try that. Whether I use the insider code or any general public code I still get the same 10% off. I'm happy with a minivan for $298, but would welcome any additional savings...heck I'd be happy if the coupon would just work on my rental. I'm 5 weeks away (tomorrow), so I've still got 35 more days to watch for a better price. Good luck to all.

Just started looking for August 10 - Aug 25th and tried Priceline name you own price yesterday for $11 per day for full-size and was rejected. Today I went on Kayak and the best I could do was $251.62/week for a minivan through Alamo, this is before taxes plus I used a entertainment coupon to get the 1 extra day ($55.92) free. Total with tax $647.29 for 15 day minivan rental. Not great and I will keep looking, but for now...(oh and this was the priceline price through kayak)

Priceline wouldn't take anything less than $42 a day for a compact car for me today for Aug 7th! Yikes!

When I went directly to Priceline it gave me much higher prices then when I went through Kayak to get Priceline prices (I choose check all). Don't know if it will matter for you, but you may want to try.

I find the rates often change closer to the weekend, so maybe they are getting ready to lower the prices! One can hope!

You can cancel the reservation anytime online. You just need your confirmation number and surname, then press cancel.

Just rented a minivan for 8/24-8/28 - insiders membership with a $25 off a 3 day rental for a total of $250 and change..best I could do. I am finding it hard to get a cheap rate b/c we are only rented for 5 days, and most of the codes are for weekly rentals. I am happy with what I have..for now

I have noticed the rates are higher at Disney verses the airport. See for your self. Try pricing the pick up as MCO and you will see the difference. Not sure why.

For example if you pick it up on 8/24 at 12:00 change your drop off to 8/28 at 12:30 sometimes it has been know to give you a better rate. All you can do is give it a try. Too bad your trip wasn't 8-25 to 8-29 the van rate is $194. !

My wife checked with Alamo, we are renting 8/6 - 8/14, apparently this is peak rental time. They are not accepting any coupon codes for that time frame. Gotta keep checking as the rates and cars available are constantly changing. Right now prices are very high.

Don't loose hope. As it gets closer to your travel date check the rates again. That is when the release their last minute rates so maybe you will get lucky!

Was that with fees and taxes? The $250 is through the insiders program and it includes all fees and taxes. I tried to use a $30 coupon, but we aren't renting a week and it wouldn't accept it, so I tried the $25, which did work.

I just booked this deal, except my dates are 8/18 - 8/29, Total for 11 days was $348.99 (better than the $358 I had for a Standard SUV at Disneys Car center that was for one less day). This was a Bj's member deal, listed right on their Travel Auto rental web page.

I think my DH is going to take our two older kids and travel by ME so we don't have to worry about the bags and I'll just take our littlest and get the rental. Not to mention getting the rental from MCO was cheaper than Disney's Car Center. The Minivan rental from there was over $600!

Great deal! When I try it for my August dates (4-15) my quote is over 1,000!!
I wish it was that price for my 11 days.
